If me and my fiance met while i was on a deployment, would that be considered meeting in person for the k1 interview?

Meeting in person is just that. Meeting face to face IRL. It doesn't matter where it was at.

So although me or her never visited eachother's home country, as long as we met face to face we should be fine?

Yes as long as it is within 2 years.

 

Also some countries (where her interview will be and depending of her citizenship) do want to see more then one face to face meeting and others are fine with one. It also depends on your evidence of the meeting.

Her country is the Philippines and we have met more than one time..we do have an established relationships and photos of proof. But im filing this petition early, will she still be allowed to visit on a b visa while this visa is in process to est. More proof of a "bona fide" relationship?
