Hello there!

I have a question about the Form I-864. Under section 5, Sponsor's household size, they ask the number of person's being sponsored in this affidavit. Then, under persons not sponsored in this affidavit, they say "if you are currently married, add 1 for your spouse". I'm confused because my spouse, who is on a K1 Visa, is being sponsored in this affidavit.

If someone is your spouse, you cannot use the K1, which is a fiance visa, and for the K1, usually form I-134 is used.  Are you talking about the AOS, after marriage on a K1?

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.

And, after making sure you are using the right form for the right process, it states to the instructions to not list anyone twice. You need to put "0" under the "if you are currently married" column. You can search the forums to see where this answer has been given before, too. Good luck! :)

Visa Issued: 21-February-2017     Visa issued same day as interview
DHL tracking information received: 22-February-2017     DHL tracking number appeared 28 hours after interview, scheduled for delivery the next day
Visa in hand: 23-Feb-2017
US POE (Minneapolis): 26-Feb-2017

Op, you should change your profile to reflect you are no longer in the K2 process, but doing AOS, that way you get correct answers.

He came on a K1-as my fiance. But we got married last week, and now we're completing the AOS...so that's why I was confused...
