ADMINISTRATIVE PROCESSING STILL!!

Good Morning All! 

 

I hope someone can help me.  I have been going crazy here trying to figure out my process or wonder what is going on.  My fiance had his medical exam on 12/23/2016 and his interview was on 01/06/2017.  However, because the medicals takes 10 business days to process, they were not send out to the embassy until 01/13/2017.  My status was updated on 01/13/2017 in the afternoon.  I called the hospital to confirm that they had send out his medicals and that was why they updated, and the nurse confirmed that they did send out his medicals on 01/13/2017.  The status was again updated on 01/18/2017.  I e-mailed the embassy and they responded by saying that they have yet received his medicals.  My status was updated again yesterday morning, 01/23/2017.  However, it is still under "Administrative Processing".  My case has been updated 3 times already.  They e-mailed me back in the afternoon saying his medicals were received yesterday.  Once I received the e-mail I went and checked the status again and saw that the "Case Creation Date" went from 12/06/2016 to 01/23/2017.  12/06/2016 was the date that the embassy received my fiances packet from USCIS.  Should I be worried ?? I never heard of the embassy updating the Case Creation Date.

 

I had hired a lawyer who promised me he will  be here by the middle of December.  I fired her after i realized i was doing everything on my own.  Nonetheless, I had already booked his flight for 01/30/2017 and our wedding is already on 02/04/2017.  I am literally freaking out!

AP is hard to judge. If everything went smoothly then shouldn't take too long....and won't harp on it, but this is why you don't make solid plans/book anything/pay for anything before you have visa in hand because of potential delays.

People will never learn to not book until the actual visa is in hand. Hopefully they have a refundable ticket.

My case creation date changed too, then the status went from AP to Ready, then to Issued a couple of days later.
