Hi, so my fiancé has his medical exam in two weeks in Kingston. I want to know if anyone has had any experience with getting the vaccines ahead of the medical exam. Will Andrews Medical accept them? And how much is the medical with and without the vaccines

I am curently at the medical hospital in Kingston. I did mine a head of time and it was no issue. Once its on the immunization card then he/she should be fine. The cost without vaccines is $20,375JMD.

PLEASE NOTE THAT VARICELLA WILL REQUIRE MORE THAN ONE SHOT IF HE HASNT GOT THEM. THEY ABOUT A MONTH  APART. PASSING ON THE SAME INFO MY DOC TOLD ME.

Hope this helps.

One last question, with the varicella, if he has never had it, and since they admisnister them a month apart, would he have to wait a month before he can leave?

  1. "Because completion of the vaccine series often requires several months, immigrant visa applicants are not required to have received all doses of the ACIP-recommended vaccines prior to departure. Rather, they are required to have received at least one dose of each vaccine, and they are encouraged to receive as many additional doses as possible. The panel physician should stress the need for the applicants to complete the series after arrival in the United States. "

Has anyone heard of having to book a round-trip for the beneficiary to get into the US? I saw it in another post and was wondering if Jamaica does the same.

No.  I've never seen where any embassy required a round trip flight in order to get a visa.  They don't follow up on how your doing POE.

Now maybe for a tourist visa the USA border agent will want to see a return flight to ensure return to home country but that has nothing to do with the foreign country.

They said that some airlines will check because its a non-immigrant visa.

It's non immigrant visa with immigrant intent.  I haven't heard of anyone having any trouble as a K1 with a one way ticket.  I purchased a one way ticket for my husband.  No one said a word at embassy, airline, or POE.  Purchase whatever is cheaper.

Do I need to take the entire interview letter including the checklist or do I just take the letter itself when I'm going for my medical just asking cuz I read somewhere where it says to take the antenna to be on the safe side

Two souls ? with but a single thought, two ? that beat as one. M & K ?
