Sending medicine (or anything) to Venezuela

Saludos to the forum,

 

We're writing for advice on sending things to Venezuela

 

In our case, we are sending OTC meds from the US and some prescription meds we got in Peru.  We have scripts for a Venezuelan family member, signed by a Venezuelan doctor, for the prescription meds.  There is nothing that would be considered a drug that could get one high.  Our greatest concern is customs as those clowns are probably "forbidding" anything they want for themselves.  I know that's a risk no matter what.  

 

What suggestions do you have for making sure the meds safely arrive to our family there?
