N-400 Part 10, question 3 and 8

Forgive me, I am a notorious "Over-thinker" of things. But in Part 10, question 8 and 10 refer to the number of times I and my spouse have been married. This is the first marriage for both of us, so I am inclined to answer both questions with "1". It's the way question 8 is phrased and continues on talking about "prior spouses" that made me question myself.  I am just slowly loosing my mind, so I was hoping to have someone confirm what worked for them.

Timeline

You put the number of times YOUR SPOUSE has been married, including your present marriage.  My husband was married twice and divorced twice before he married me, so I answered "3" for this question.
