AOS interviews before namecheck complete?

I have heard of the memo that states that no new interviews will be scheduled for AOS until the fbi namecheck is complete (excepts for those who got their interview notice before the memo).

now i was wondering if this really what is taking place or not. I just got my interview notice today and it is set for May 10th and was wondering that since it is scheduled whether that means that the namecheck is complete.

i have been keeping track of people who recently had their AOS very recently (including today) and who where stuck in the namecheck, i just wondering if those people had gotten their interview notice before the memo was issued.

I've seen people who got the interview date after the supposed "memo", and still got stuck in namecheck. I think you can safely assume that USCIS is still interviewing people before their namecheck has passed, I'm afraid.

My interview is less than 2 months after filing, so I doubt our namecheck is completed and people are no longer getting suck in name check.

meow_mix, there's no reason to believe your namecheck hasn't finished just because you got your interview quick. Namechecks often come back very quickly if there is no hit. You could already be in the clear.

I don't want to get your hopes up, but equally I don't want you to think just because your interview is quick that it means you'll definitely have to wait for FBI namecheck to clear.

two people have reported their interviews cancelled due to namechecks not completed and are still waiting. Its a toss up, but it seems more actually do get to have their interviews than not.

if i get stuck through the name check for few months (2 to 3) then that's fine, but i would just hate to go anything over that like a lot of people on here have. i mean i can easily forget about it for 2 or 3 months, but then after that i would want to know what's up.
