But how can they say that they are only just processing a certain month date when we can all clearly see by here that they are further on.. is it just to buy time when they get calls so they can just mug us off with the usual ####### of waiting..... ?

Try to remain calm. Being stressed about the situation will not help anything! They are only just processing that month because of the insane amount of people applying at one time. This is why there are several service centers etc. because there are so many people to handle. Yes - the i130 sometimes takes longer than the usual 6 month process but the CR1 spouse visa is the fastest route so consider yourself lucky! There are plenty of people who are family members that have to wait YEARS like 5/10+ years before being accepted. Whenever you are stressed out remember that and count your blessings :) In the meantime - make sure you have all your other documents sorted for the NVC stage.

Yea - we all do for sure! But it's important to breathe and put that energy into something positive. Often helps coming on here as a lot of people help keep spirits high!

As I mentioned read through that site so you are ready. You have to wait for NVC to provide you with IIN and Case number and hopefully if you are prepared enough you can then send everything and move on with the process quickly by that time.

You should definitely read in detail about him obtaining police certs because mine took nearly 2 months to process. If i had known sooner i could have probably sent my stuff a week or 2 weeks earlier (not sure if that makes much difference ) but still the point was it's important to be prepared !

I got the checklist. I have to mail the documents to them....

______10 - PHILIPPINES NBI CLEARANCE:______________________________
We cannot accept the police certificate document you sent. You must send us the correct
document so we can continue to process your case. To see the guidelines for your document,
go to our website at
http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/fees/reciprocity-by-country.html. Enter your
country of birth in the box at the top of the page. The next page will be your country's
"reciprocity schedule". Click on "Police, Court, Prison Record" on the left-hand side. This will
take you to a page with the exact requirements for the type of police certificate you must
submit to the NVC.

I went to the correct page: https://travel.state.gov/content/visas/en/fees/reciprocity-by-country/RP.html

So he has to go to Manila to get his NBI Clearance?

Anyone else have any experience about this they could share?

Once your I-130 is approved, USCIS will send the doucments to NVC so that they can process your case. In doing so, they will create a case# along with an invoice ID. Using both case number and invoice ID you can then start the online process - Complete DS260 and pay fee's. You should also receive a welcome letter from NVC through email.

Look at the link below and depending on where your interview will be, it tells you to either mail or email the supporting documents.

https://travel.state.gov/content/visas/en/immigrate/immigrant-process/documents/Submit_documents.html

Typically police documents should be provided if the applicant has resided in another country for 6+ months. Please see the link below for information regarding supporting documents should has police records- just search through document finder and it spells it out:

https://travel.state.gov/content/visas/en/immigrate/immigrant-process/documents/Supporting_documents.html

I hope this helps and GL!

If you originally did not submit the NBI clearance along with your packet, then yes you need to go ahead and obtain it. According to other posts, VJ members also received a checklist because they did not submit a NBI clearance as shown on NVC's website. If you look at the document finder at NVC, they tell you that they only want a NBI clearance and nothing else:

https://travel.state.gov/content/visas/en/fees/reciprocity-by-country/RP.html

Please also see this post regarding NBI clearance for the Philippines. In conclusion, folks who originally submit an NBI clearance did not have any issues:

If you originally submitted an NBI clearance, I would call NVC and speak with a supervisor to see what the root cause is. I hope this helps, GL.

Don't stress yourself out. We all make mistakes but it's a mistake that can be corrected.
