Today marks 200 days since NOA 1 for us. 

 

I really want some relief and just know when the interview will be, and hope nothing was wrong with my Affidavit of Support documents. 

 

Today marks 10 weeks at the NVC. It is making me so nervous.

How long does the process at NVC usually take? From the day they receive to the day they assign you an interview date.

8-11 weeks seem to be the standard now from start to case complete.  However, a few people have reported a little less time........After case is complete, NVC waits for available dates from individual consulates.  They then assign interviews.  That usually takes several days.

it is usually takes 11 weeks to review after they received AOS and Support documents. So hopefully you will get an email from them very soon. Good luck

I just called, there is a checklist! 

 

AOS and Police Clearance issue.

 

He said if I don't get anything by the 19th to call again.

Hi, same here. Today marks 200 days waiting for NOA2. Hopefully we are gonna get our approval soon

I been checking the processing times on the https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/processingTimesDisplay.do page and looks strange, dates are set back to 2016 on most service centers, except for Potomac and vermont still shows 2017, and Nebraska move to Nov 26!

So once I get my "missing" documents back to them I wait another 2 months?

Yes, your time will start over again as if you just submitted your DS-260, civil and financial documents to the NVC. There will be a new scan date. I received a checklist as well. My stupid lawyer forgot to submit the beneficiary's passport copy. Hired a lawyer so that I do not get a checklist but he screwed me up. I'm not sure but I heard that for the police clearance and tax documents they usually tell you to bring that in during the interview. So if it's that then it would work in your favor because then you won't lose time but if they ask you to submit the documents to the NVC then your time will start over again.

I can also testify that your "clock" will be reset.  We finally received our case complete about 12 weeks after the second scan date.

Sometimes they ask you to bring missing items to the interview in which case you will not be delayed more......sometimes, they ask you to send them.  If you have to send items, you will be delayed.

This is really asking for a whole new level of patience isn't it? 

 

I have to take another "visit" trip to see him I guess. I can't wait for a year to pass without seeing him again.

Don't fret until you know what the checklist says.  Maybe you can just take the document to the interview.

Unfortunately that's the way it is. I'm also very much frustrated with the entire process. It's just time consuming for no reason at all. It makes no sense for the clock to start over again just because of one or two missing documents. But just hang in there we just can't do much but just wait. I'll visit my Wife again before she finally gets here as well. Don't lose hope. We came this far so it's just a little more time.

Hi there 😊 Im a new member here and it's been 8 months after the application for my I-130 and the only answer that the uscis provides is that the case was received.  What to do in this case? Is it normal? Please it would help me a lot if someone knows something.  Thank you
