I Called the NVC and received the case number and as well as the invoice number today. But when I log to the https://ceac.state.gov with the case and invoice number I am able to log for

  • DS-261, Online Choice of Address and Agent but when it goes to the page the button seem to be disable it dosen't do anything. When I click it or when I try to start the application it dosen't do anything. Does that happen to anyone? or Do I still have to wait for the letter from NVC to arrive until i can proceed.

I just choose my agent. i did not get my welcome letter but it let me choose my agent. Thanks @LaurenAndBrent again for the suggestion. I would say try it again tomorrow.

Sometimes it can take a day or two for the form to be available. Each step of the NVC process is done separately so once you submit ds261 you may have to wait a day or two to submit AOS payment, then you'll have to wait for that to clear before you can submit the IV payment and then after that the last step is filling the ds260. (You can send off all of your paperwork before completing ds260). The NVC steps definitely take a little patience lol.

Hi guys. Quick question on NVC process; my I-130 was approved on 7/28, and was sent to DOS on 8/8. The next step is to receive a welcome letter right? Will they send me an email or a hard copy in the snail mail? I submitted a form G-1145 along with my I-130 to USCIS.

Thanks!!

They will send both. I would say call NVC and make sure they have your correct email so that you can get all the document via email faster. Either way they will send the hard copy as well.

Hi guys I have a question, I'm currently living now with my husband here in USA and just got i130 approved and now they sent it to NVC.. my problem is I can't request a finger print while I don't have NVC documents request..😑 And I have  to get police clearance from 2 countries I have been and I heard it will take a while before I will receive it.. I want to prepare my documents in advance 😣.. is there any other options that I can do for me to get a finger print here? Please need advice.. thank u

Have you apply for Adjustment of status since you are already in USA?

Agreed. Email is way faster. I have received welcome letter within 12 days from I-130 approved and submit DS-261 and AOS fee but still haven't received hard copy via mail

Hey everyone! Missed you guys.

Does anyone apply for a child as well? I'm really confused about ceac right now cause it only shows info for 1 applicant, 1 choice of an agent, 1 IV payment. Though it's supposed to be two of us, me and my daughter. My name is not listed there, maybe we should request for another invoice number or is just one case and we should contact nvc for info? Thank you for help!
