From what I understand, you did not get approved yet, the Texas Service Center received your application and it is being processed.  Mine was there and took about four months but many people have waited more like 6-8 months to get NOA2 (approval for I-130 petition).  After that you would wait a couple weeks for the paperwork to be sent over to the NVC for the next step (fees, financial evidence, other supporting documents needed) and wait for another 9-11 weeks (more unfortunately if any issues arise with paperwork) for the NVC to forward everything to the embassy.  As far as moving back to the US, are you the petitioner (US Citizen/permanent resident)?  If so, at some point you will need to prove intent to reestablish domicile, basically proving that you plan to return to the US to live.  You can do this by moving ahead of him or by (I believe) actively researching jobs, housing, etc in the US and having proof of that.  I was living with my husband in his country until about a month into the NVC wait and then I returned to the US to get settled before starting my new job.  I'm a teacher so the summer is the best time for that so the timing of my move back was dictated by that.  You can always wait and see as the process continues a bit to decide when to make the move back.  Just remember that this overall process from when you submit the I-130 to finish can take an average of 9-14 months from what I have read here so take that into consideration for your planning.  Best of luck!

Thank u so much i will move by 1st quarter of next year i think is enough time and already passed 9 months. I already have my job there ☺️. When u moved back how long u had to waited for ur husband to move back ? Any problem at the airport? Cus on website it says no guarantee with US officer  at the airport to let them enter to US so this scar me. And my last question for financial support since u were living with him who was ur sponsor? Shall we  prof of our income here since we both r working? And my brother who lives in US also can support us?

Thanksssss

That is great that you have a job lined up!  That will help with the intent to establish domicile in the USA.  My husband does not live in the USA yet because he has not yet been approved.  However, we are very hopeful he will be here by Thanksgiving, which would be about five months difference between me moving here and him moving here.  He is currently here on a visit but will return to his country in a couple of weeks to wait for the next step.  Thankfully he did not have any issue with entering on his tourist visa to visit me as he was truthful that he was just coming for a visit and he had a return ticket back to his country.  Just in case of issue we had him travel with ties to his country such as an employer letter.  We also printed off his receipts for us paying the IV and AOS fees to show that we are trying to do this all by the books but none of that documentation was needed in our case.  Great question about financial support.  My income was not able to be used because it was foreign income so I had a family member sign as  joint sponsor.  You can get your brother to do it, I believe, as long as he meets the income requirements. :)

Hello all, i would like to ask a question regarding AOS and you guys are a month ahead hope i can get help here...

We have a problem with getting IRS transcript as husband has worked overseas last year and the filing address kept changing. He tried calling  the CS and the helpline but they are all automated and he got a transcript sent without an option to provide new address.

Last address he has in the system was a PO box from his company which he does not have access to. I know we have the option of speaking to the company asking them to forward it but we would like to secure this.

Does anyone know what is the best number we can call, another VJ member told me they got it sent to Singapore for free speaking to someone but they forgot which number.

And i most definitely dont want to go through the below but it will be our last resort...:6 weeks + 10 days i dont know if we can afford to wait that long...My PD Feb 21 Texas

Q20. What if my address changed since I filed my last tax return and it doesn’t match IRS records when I use Get Transcript by Mail or the automated phone transcript service at 800-908-9946?

Don’t use your old address. The transcript won’t get forwarded to you. You need to file Form 8822, Change of Address, before you submit Form 4506-T or Form 4506T-EZ. Generally, it takes four to six weeks to process a change of address.

@Silwightman I have a tourist visa from the U.K. (3 months each time of entry) and enter through Denver international / Los Angeles / New York / New Jersey - I've never been questioned on anything just been told to enjoy my time with my hubby! What kinds of things are you questioned on??

@Yeonin ah wow! You are starting the new job in your home or the us? Good luck with the company - that does sound exciting and a great distraction from NVC bs :P

@Nattie_Bry I've been to visit both before and after! Most recent dates are

Nov 2016 - 5 day visit

Dec 2016 - married + 10 day visit

Jan 2017 - 10 day visit

March 2017 - 10 day visit

July 2017 - 16 day visit

@AnIJrny damn! Sucks you didn't see the messages not to wait! But yea you are right - a few days won't hurt :) I am actually having to wait two weeks because I'm in the states now and my police cert from Japan wasn't processed until a day after I arrived here!! Just my luck ;) so gotta wait till I am back to send everything. Thank you so much :) you will be doing the same and making a home in no time! :D
