there was a delay between mine, only after i called and they said they didnt knwo who the agent was going to be..which was not true...teh next day i could pay the IV after they sent me the letter by email.

Hmmm, Okay...

That's what I figured, or thought.

I forwarded the emails to our lawyers and (gently) pressed them to keep the ball rolling ASAP

I used to be a very patient guy... but that was before  :-D

Though, I must say I'm quite positively surprise by how somehow "fast" things seem to be moving forward, my fingers are all tangled up!

Damn right!

I have a bunch of friends here that could turn that sh*t around in just a few minutes!  ;-)

And my hubby could make this horrendous NVC website look fabulous too !

Do you drive in the UK? I've been slowly building up some confidence in my husband's car lol I started by driving in parking lots at night then moved to parking lots earlier in the day where there were actually other people to deal with and then yesterday I bit the bullet and said I was driving us to get the groceries this time LOL(it went just fine) sounds so silly seeing as I have a licence in the UK but it's all about trying to get used to automatic, different side of the road, stop signs and different rules AND crazy impatient drivers! If you don't have a license in the UK you'll probably have a really easy time learning to drive here! Seems like a piece of P for anyone who would be starting completely from scratch plus in most states the driving test is a JOKE! 😂😂

Ahaha oh no!!! Yea - luckily I've never driven before so I'm hoping it won't confuse me!! That sounds so tough tho 😭😭😭 I'm both super excited / super terrified to drive in the us... why are all the cars the size of houses ?!?! Haha

True. I submitted the DS-260 and the financial/civil documents around mid June. Still haven't heard back from them. This process is just ridiculous.

Let's hope you hear back from them in the next two weeks. I've had to kinda simmer down my wife's expectations as to her thinking NVC can review within a month, I told her she's the American here and I guess the European has to tell how exactly unnecessary time-consuming the US immigration is, so we got that settled lol...i'm thinking I won't hear back from them in two months after I've finally done my DS260.

Hahaaa!  Lawyers are working on our case, just received an email from NVC that our DS-261 (lawyer is the agent) had been submitted.

Oh, and our case is processed through the consular electronic application center. I'm a bit lost and out-of-date about that stuff... does it make the processing our case potentially faster, or is it standard procedure?

Yah I'm expecting to hear from them in the next two weeks. Fingers crossed!! it's just time consuming for no reason. Does anyone over here know how long it usually takes to get an interview after submitting the DS-260, Financial and Civil documents? Thanks!

Copies of the following:

Valid passports of both Petitioner and the beneficiary, Birth certificates in English/Translation, adoption documentation, marriage certificates with translation, Police certificate with translation, signed affidavit of support, proof of US status, petitioners civil documents, proof of relationship (only for I-864A), evidence of income, form (s) W-2, IRS Tax transcript, Federal Income Tax return, Social security earnings statement and proof of assets.

I submitted my latest federal income tax return which I filed jointly. Mainly because I had to wait for her ITIN from the IRS (submitted W-7).

This is right off the checklist.

As in you will be able to digitally upload your civil documents etc rather than mailing them? If so then yes, *as far as im aware* the process goes that bit faster. I wish my embassy had that option lol would have saved on the $20+ postage fee just to get my documents to them!

IV payment still not showing as paid yet. Losing the willllllllll! Doesn't help that we found out our closing date on the new house has been pushed back once again. Im only going to get like 5 days in the new house before I have to go back to Ireland again. Today has not been a good day LOL.
