Hi guys I need help I just called USCIS today and this is what they said...

submitted inquiry with confirmation number (********) You can expect to receive a response to your previous inquiry within 30 days of the date your inquiry was submitted. If you do not receive a response within 30 days, a new inquiry can be submitted at that time or you may call USCIS Customer Service at 1-800-375-5283 or 1-800-767-1833 (TTY). You will need to provide the inquiry confirmation number when you call.

and as per their last system update was MAY 31st 2017.. they said I'm outside time frame already from January 12,2017 filler.. please can someone elaborate this for me? I'm sorry maybe getting so anxious that's why I maybe slow on picking up this time 😪😅 thank u for who will reply🤗

Hi guys! We are confused.  If you have your case number, how did you get it? By mail or did you call?

can be by phone and it should come by mail as wel as a formal notice.

I think it's time for either your congressman or the ombudsman to step in. You might want your US citizen spouse to contact their Congresman.

Thank u yeonin for your reply... we actually don't hire a lawyer for our case anymore.. is it fine to call congressman? What normally we could ask? I'm sorry we actually really don't know what's going on in USCIS 😢.. is it indication that our application is denied? Do they confirm if u are denied or approved over a phone call?

I think other than Potomac all the other service centers have  huge backlogs creating delay for alot of cases. I don't think this indicates an automatic denial. Please have your spouse seek to connect the congressman or senator assigned to deal with immigration stuff in the county/state they live in. USCIS is supposedly to answer within 48hrs to them. You have to try that to see what it can do for your case. You will never get de decision through phone it's always through text, email and official letter. Im sorry you have to go through this long wait.

thank you! So why is that on the wiki they recommend to be calling?

because sometimes it takes days to get the letter while you could already have a case number and an invoice number when you call to start doing what you need to be doing for the NVC process. For example I was told to call back next week then they might already have my case nummer assigned and then the letter will follow. in the meantime if I get the case number and invoice number I can do the payment etc.

I'm most certainly under the jan filers blanket each night hahaha ! Honestly - everyone in here has been amazing supporting each other and It has been great to share all the ups of everyone's successes and process rather than just our individual ones.

We should definitely do a party! May it be the most ultimate spouse reuinion  party ever to be held  😂😂😂
