your husband could make an inquiry...just you know informative without coming off too strong on the them.

Well I tried to make him call them but I guess he just doesn't believe it's gonna change anything so why do it.

I'm just being way too impatient for some reason, usually I can cope with that.

Thank you for advice anyway

Hey guys! My friend is going through it because she hasn't received anything yet and her notice date was Jan 13th! (She is not a member on the site) I check the tracker for her everyday and it's so frustrating to see nothing! I told her if she doesn't hear anything by July she should call them.....I feel so bad 🙁 and then she thinks she is going to get RFE because she forgot to send in pictures with it 😩 I just want her to get something so she can stop being so sad about it.

I haven't sent in pictures as well. but then again I have a legal background no RFE will get my BP up. I hope she feels ok, there's 1000s of applicationts waiting and the estimation is not 5 months anymore it's 6-8 months. Maybe that's a reassurance. Tell her to join our community we give alot of support. anyone can vent here.

I also didn't send any pictures or anything like that but we received no RFE. Keep positive - it is moving - just at snails pace ! ^^;

Lol anyone check the latest updated processing times on USCIS website?? Potomac is listed as working on cases from November 2015 for a US citizen filing for spouse. HA! Must be a mistake! The rest of the dates are 2016 and most 2017, citizen filing for spouse is the only one listed as 2015. Once again USCIS proving itself to be entirely incapable.

I'm so glad to have found this group of people going through the same thing I am right now. Everyone I know keeps asking me, "When is your husband moving here?" I keep saying, "I don't know. I haven't heard anything since January." Then, they look at me in disbelief and say something like, "Really? I thought that once you got married, your husband got to move here automatically." Haha, I wish. How is everyone else holding up?

03/28/14 Met my husband in college while he was studying abroad in the USA

01/19/15 He had to move back to Brazil

12/31/15 Got engaged in the USA

07/25/16 Got married in Brazil

12/24/16 Sent I-130 to Chicago lockbox

01/11/17 Got all of my paperwork back via mail due to "incorrect fees" and "outdated forms" (They made a mistake, and there was absolutely nothing I could do about it.)

01/20/17 Clean copy of same I-130 and new check for same dollar amount sent back to Chicago lockbox

01/27/17 NOA1 - Texas Service Center

Oh I think we're all on that boat! I get similar questions like "so when are you moving?", "Does it really take that long even though you're married?", "Have you heard anything yet?" Etc on a daily basis! My stock response to the have you heard anything yet is always when ever I hear something you will most definitely know because I'll be telling everyone! Frustrating process and so many people just can't quite grasp it!

If only! lol...well it's a good thing they get to realize that it's a task, it's a long and bitter road, it teaches us patience and it happily frustrates us at the same time

@synthrian she got an SRC tracking so I believe that is Texas? And yes @Yeonin I told her to just try and find other things to do to occupy her time....I got scared because I'm like wait we didn't send any pictures !!! But it makes me feel better knowing other people didn't either and it's not a big deal.

Yea - it's best to do other things but it's easier said than done! I had a day of crazy joy when I got my NOA2 and now it's back to freaking out every morning waiting to hear if my husband got our CN and IIN from the NVC 😂😂

So I looked at the 50 cases after mine (numerically) on one of the apps, looks like there have been a few approvals and a few RFEs. There seems to be literally no rhyme nor reason as to how they actually go through the cases! Unfair??? Perhaps. I hope whoever has my case sitting in a pile on their desk isn't taking a few sick days / on vacation lol! Also I really can't quite understand why some people are getting updates through the online system and other people's aren't updating until ages after they get their copy in the mail! Arghhhhhhh! Need some good news soon or im going to start losing my mind (I think that process started a while ago to be fair but it's feeling stronger as the days go on :bonk:)

Oh shoot! I hope that November 2015 is just one terrible typo!

Yesterday we got RFE  I don't realy know what to think. Is it bad or not too bad news.

Hi! We got the RFE letter. As we hoped there is nothing really difficult, Thanks God. There was a mistake at the divorce certificate of previous marrige. My husband will take care of it. But I have a question. The RFE letter says "please use the enclosed envelope to mail the evidence requested back to Potomac Service Center...." But we didn't get any enclosed envelope!!! So can we use a regular new envelope?!
