Please make sure you check everything ahead of time! I wish I had known this months ago

 

I just received my noa2 may 30th and my husband, who is from Colombia, still hasn't gotten his police record from China. I am so afraid he won't be able to get it which will then cause more frustration for our family. We have a 3 year old son that just keeps growing up without him. These police records from none origin countries are really a pain.

Yesss, that's me!! Good luck to you! And I hope everyone starts getting their approvals soon!! I'm currently stressing over police records that my husband needs to get from China where he lived for several years. It's so hard to get one from what I've been reading!! Ughh. The stress is still going.

Ugh! Totally feel your pain! I don't understand why it needs to take so long now we have the internet etc. it's frustrating to wait several months for a document to say I have no criminal record ?! I'm going to the Japanese embassy this week to give my fingerprint forms etc and at that time I'm going to ask if there's anyway to pay for express / emergency delivery! Maybe you can try the same thing? Best of luck!

How is everyone doing ?

not too stressed I hope ?

My hubby just returned to the states last week, but my ticket is booked for the end of the month, hopefully have no issues at POE but you never know, but we both decided it is worth the risk  

Looks like Nebraska is moving along nicely (November is started) My PD is the 27th of December so its still looking like July for me unless by some miracle Nebraska finishes November this week.

I noticed people asking about what to prepare next for the NOA2 - Make sure your vaccinations are up to date and if not get start getting them

police certificates can also be done now but be careful if you need any from another country some are only valid for 6 months from issue - The UK is good for a year from issue I think.

anyhow just checking in wanting to make sure everyone is good - Have a great June everyone.

Do you think my husband could just go to the chinese embassy and do that? I have heard a Chinese police check is little complicated to receive for foreigners.

Called the Japanese Embassy today and they told me to write a letter explaining why I need the express delivery and if its a valid reason they will accept my request. I typed the letter up in English and Japanese today to take with me on Thursday  Your husband should definitely try the same!!

Im assuming the online service is back up and running as it should be 'cause they're clearly screen shots from online and people were reporting that they got the snail mail and the online didn't update for a few days after that point so if the screen shot above is saying they approved it on the 5th and the 5th is today then that must mean they heard today via email/ checking the USCIS site so glad that the e-notification service seems to actually be working again!!
