I had never heard about travelling to the US after I-130 approval.  Is this for sure?  Any USCIS/DOS links on this subject?

My now wife had a B2 VISA but I presume that is no longer valid with our marriage.

What kind of visa would she enter the US with?

Thanks for the info!

I just called USCIS and they said that the beneficiary can only enter after I-130 approval via a K-3 visa (which is back logged as well!)

I've just recently entered and I'm still waiti ng on my NOA2. No issues at immigration.

Me too -  I've entered the US several times whilst still waiting for NOA2 on a tourist visa. As long as you have a return ticket it's fine. They understand you need to visit your loved one :)

But I am interested in how you can bypass the consulate processing???

I am using this app, am not technologically challenged yet, for the life of me, I cannot figure out how to search for cases and get this level of detail... Can you do a screen shot of the page where you can run these searches?  I see they have "nearby cases" but I find this useless.... I must be missing something :-(

Firstly you need to add your case number to the system. That is done by clicking the blue + at the bottom right hand corner of the screen. In order to get real time updates you need to go to the settings tab and turn on the type of notifications that you want. I chose similar cases and also case notification. I will figure out how to send screen shot today and send to you when i do. For nearby cases you need to input your case number then select the amount of cases you want the app to check. I normally select 50 then click analyse. There is a limit as tohow many analysis you can do each day.

I have added my case.

I have my settings to real time updates on similar cases 4x a day but have received no notifications.

I have searched for nearby and I just see a bunch of I-130 cases that all show received but with no ability to see any more details...

Help!

I have a B1/B2 visa and have been travelling on it since before and after marriage. It is still valid. It only become invalid if the CBP cancels it or the embassy issues ir1/cr1. Other than that the visa is perfectly good to go. My last trip was in May and i plan to travel in August before my case gets to final nvc stages. I am hoping that i get to nvc early August and after that august travel i will remain in home country until interview

Wow.... that is amazing.  So, to be clear, you have a pending I-130 application in process and you have travelling in and out of the US multiple times?  Did CBP ask you anything about pending immigration paperwork?  Did they ask to see return travel ticket or documentation about job or residency in your home country?  I called CBP yesterday and the officer strongly advised against traveling while I-130 is in process...  That being said... I miss my wife desperately!

They never asked if i submitted paperwork. They never asked for return ticket or documentation.  Grant you i have been travelling to the US since i was 10 and im now 36. I have spent a maximum3 wks and that was during summer holidays. Since my 20s and working i have spent a week most times. I got married in the US last November and when asked by CBP purpose of trip i told them to get married. He responded congratulations. Since getting married i have made several one week trips and when asked purpose of trip i repond to visit my husband. And im told enjoy your trip. I know that once i get to NVC stage i will not travel because it is not recommended.
