Is that so? How can you transfer? Thanks for the reply.

The service center would have to transfer you, you can not request a transfer.

Yes, we waited almost 7 months for approval for NOA2 and we had no RFE's

October 31, 2016 I-130 sent to Chicago Lockbox

November 4, 2016 Received text case sent to Nebraska

November 10, 2016 Received Hard copy of NOA1

Whats a NOA2? I received a notice of action from the mail. And email as well.

NOA1 is when the Service Center receives your I-130

NOA2 is when your I-130 is approved

Is anyone approve from Nebraska. My PD is Nov 17 eagerly waiting fir NOA 2 its been 6 and half month already gone i am really frustrated with this waiting ☹️

You may have more luck speaking to November filers! There will be a separate thread for that, we all filed in January and so far none of us have NOA2 yet from any of the service centres.

Hopefully you hear something soon, that is an awfully long wait.

Hi Everyone,

I was married December 2016 to a US Citizen and we filed our i-130 on January 6th from Colorado. Our Receipt was received on January 13th in the post and had the starting Letter YSC. I'm currently residing in London, UK - We have not heard anything back since this time in January and our status on the uscis site currently still only says case received...

Is this normal? Has anyone else who filed the i-130 around this time been approved? I know we are still only at the 5 month mark but all the waiting is just making me nervous that I should be doing something!

Thank you for your support - best of luck to everyone here :)

Hi Guys

I just called USCIS cause i needed to know what exactly is normal processing time when they say case is within normal processing time.

I was told normal is that they haven't passed over my case so it is normal that they are working on cases submitted before mine.

I said to the agent normal processing should have a time factor attached to it so that we the applicants or beneficiaries can actually know what is happening and if it goes beyond say 7 months then it is abnormal.

Well one thing i found out if that for those who are able to travel they can travel to the US after 130 is approved and then adjust status if so desried and just bypass consulate processing.

Hope this bit of info helps.

ps they refuse to say what dates they are currently working on not sure why tje big secret cause we all know they are well pass September 30th

I had never heard about travelling to the US after I-130 approval.  Is this for sure?  Any USCIS/DOS links on this subject?

My now wife had a B2 VISA but I presume that is no longer valid with our marriage.

What kind of visa would she enter the US with?

Thanks for the info!
