Don't the UK and Germany have DCF available?

We are in France and the petition went to Nebraska, we are in for a bit Of wait.

Isn't DCF (Direct Consular) for couples who both live outside of the US?

I was mentionning the peeps with petitions sent to the Texas Service center. As impredictable as they are, there "seems" to be a pattern with big western Euro countries...

Nebraska for you? Awe chucks... I feel your pain, hang in there !

Hello Everyone,

Another month down very soon...

And still puzzled on how the Service centers function :-s

I have noticed that several European couples (especially from UK and Germany) have had their petitions adjudicated pretty quickly at TSC, makes you wonder how the country of origin is an important factor?

I am truly happy for those who get their NOA2 so quickly, and also, admittedly, a tad bit frustrated...

84 days in the process, hanging in there!

And just 2 days away from a one week visit of my gorgeous husband :-)

I'm so ready for this part of the process to be over and done with. I understand the traveling back and forth is a good tool for now but boy oh boy does it not really settle the frustration of being apart. Especially because the time difference is starting to get at me after 4 years. We both work but I literally have longer days and her being an independent contractor with alot responsibility and the long hours  doesn't make it any easier. Two weeks and I fly over for 15 days can't wait for that and by the end of those 15bdays we might be closer to the NOA2. I just peeped at your timeline I so wish next month will be your month!😊

I hear ya! Receiving that infamous NOA2 is going to be such a relief and a burst of sheer happiness!

I couldn't agree more on the time difference thing... Vince being in California, we really live on opposite schedules. It's convenient for his evening/my morning chat, but we're always joking on how our drinks are never synchronized (my morning coffee when he's having his evening glass of wine and vice versa).

Can't say how much I am excited to have him here for a week, in just a couple of days. Ever since we got married, we have decided there wouldn't be more than 10 weeks of apart time. In the grand scheme of things, all of this will be memories in about 6 months! However, it's definitely great to know that here, on VJ, we are all on the same boat.

We should have some kind of reunion next year when we will all have settled in the US!  ;-)

Oh, btw, we are also taking a little vacation within the vacation and staying overnight in Amsterdam next week :-)

It would be the cherry on the cake if we were approved while Vince is here... One can only dream!

I wish, but I guess DCF depends on the country, some embassies provide it, some not. We both live in Spain and got directed to Nebraska. What I hope is to get a code that allows us to continue by digital means, it seems that it depends on the NVC code you get in your NOA2

Nebraska is the worst, I'm still looking at July for the NOA 2 but it is getting closer, plus side the hubby arrives here for a week in 25 days, then I'm off to visit him end of June' for 10 days, hoping to get our approval when I'm there.

Amsterdam around this time of year is the place to be and the weather is looking better! let me know if y'all want to meet, have a drink of some sort. And I'm all in for a reunion next year!!!!! that would be super cool!

it's crazy how the system works, it's like government can we please get our acts together!!!!, I can't see how the internal mess is happening year after year. if only at one point a future US president would really take up the immigration issues and straighten them out and not start at deporting people but create a system that is effective and most of all efficient! I really hope all of us get the good news we so crave when we are with our spouses! that's worth a one on one celebration😊

And boy, does it feel good to have our drinks synced for a week :-) (and screw jet lag!)

We will arrive in Amsterdam Wednesday early afternoon and stay overnight (I book the Dylan for one night and maybe have dinner at the Duchess).

Would you be up to make it to Amsterdam?

You're right @Pat&Vince DCF is only for couples where both reside outside the US.

As someone who's husband is from Germany and got through Texas in about 20 days, I wondered the same thing. I can tell you that in my group (and across VJ) there are a number of other Germans who got sent to other service centers who didn't get through very fast. Some just got to NVC in fact, after waiting 7+ months. I don't think country of origin plays a huge factor, unless you're from a country where they require extra security checks (like Iraq for example) at the USCIS stage.

On that note, people from the Philippines seem to get through at lightening fast speeds... not entirely sure why. The whole process is definitely a bit of a black box, I'm afraid. Stay strong guys!!
