This forum (this topic in particular) is a good way for every one of to vent and keep their sanity!

It has created a great bound between people who were total strangers about a year ago. We're all together through this :-)

And yesterday was another big milestone.

I have received the big enveloppe with all the documentation and my passport including the CR-1 visa.

Looking at it brought an incredible feeling of relief, but also the realization that this is real and concrete...

The next step is the easy one, clearing the POE !

I'm beyond happy that my husband and I will be able to fly together to the US, I just cannot wait :-)

Ready set & Go! so happy for you, it'll be a merry Christmas this year indeed and a happy New year, new homeland!

OVERJOYED to announce that my husband's interview went smoothly this morning and his visa has been APPROVED! We had a few stumbling blocks on the road of this visa journey, but it's all behind us now and everything worked out in the end. I say that to give you guys a little comfort if you think that your case isn't perfect. Just do your best to be organized and trust the process.

As for me, I'll be checking the visa documents site every few hours to see when his passport is ready to be picked up, so we can buy this FLIGHT!! ::Happy Dance::

Becoming "Documentarily Qualified" is going case complete right?

Anybody know how long it takes generally to go from "Documentarily Qualified" to getting an interview date?

Exactly a month ago we got a message saying that we are "Documentarily Qualified" over the CEAC portal.  At the exact same time, we got another message that said it wanted us to submit additional tax returns.  There was no place to submit additional documents through the online portal, so I called the NVC. They said the second message was simply saying we needed to bring the tax returns to the interview.  I called two different NVC reps who said the same thing...Anybody else experience this?  I'm getting paranoid that they are wrong and that the consulate is waiting for those tax returns and won't give us an appointment date!  It's silly, but we've been waiting so long the last thing I want is more delays because I was told the wrong information.  Everything in the CEAC portal says accepted and looks like it's happy.

Hi, we are from Canada too and completing the CEAC process. We have two separate cases for both myself and son. My son's case has been Documentarily Qualified and at the end of the email says it would be sent to the consulate to book the interview. When I googled the term "Documentarily Qualified" it sounds like that is the same thing as case complete.

I am noticing other Canadians waiting for their interview dates too. From what I understand they book a month worth of interviews. If you don't make the cutoff for that month you have to wait for the next batch of interviews. I can't say this for certain or where I read it but I seem to recall that's how Montreal works.

Congrats on receiving the package!!!!

I am looking forward to that same concrete feeling as my husband would always say "oh i do have a wife" whenever we travel 13 hours to see each other lol.

Counting down to interview 6 days to go

Hey all!!

Checking in.

Hubby's POE was 2 days ago. Everything went super smoothly for us. The officer was very friendly and gave us many well wishes for our anniversary and our future together here in the states.

This is unreal, having him here with us. we are together officially!!

I pray that things move along for all those still waiting.

Congratulations to recent approvals!

Much love

Hi guys, hope all is good

Just wanted to see if anyone was in my situation?

Im a U.S citizen and I filed for my wife on

Jan-31-2017

received my acceptance letter Feb-12 and it was sent to the Texas service center

got an updated August-1-2017 saying that it was transferred to the NBC. I waited till November to make a case inquiry and I got a reply on December 2 saying that my case is still being reviewed. It’s been over ten months and nothing. I’ve been very patient but sometimes it’s just hard to keep going without answers. If anyone has any info I appreciate it a lot n thank ya for your time!

We're in the same boat. Nebraska (25th January). It's a shame that you got transferred to Nebraska as it's the slowest centre by far. I saw a mid-January approved last week and I'm thinking we're probably in that pile probably manned by Sloth from the Goonies (google it). So yeah, I'm guessing mid-2026 by the time it's complete. :)
