How much time the complete process takes? From filing i130 to the final immigration. Can any filer here explain me? I have filed i130 for my husband and receive e-mail acceptance notification on Oct 4, 2017 but still didn't receive official receipt notice (i797) through regular mail. I am US Citizen and currently living in the UAE with my husband. Any help or guidance will be appreciated. Thanks, Samreen

at this point 9-14 months. Because you live abroad it might take longer to get your paper mail, but it's coming. 4-5 months for Noa2, that's when you're approval of whatever submitted will be finalized and then your case gets send to the National Visa Center for consular processing  (takes up to 11 weeks for this part of the process) and then the planning of interview is all goes well, take another two months in mind. And it all depends on which service center your case was send to. I advise to please fill in your timeline as correctly as possible during this entire process and look up others members with the same service center.

My service center is Nebraska service center but my official NOA1 is stuck somewhere. It's been 2 months now and I still did not receive my official NOA1. Should I change my current mailing address(UAE) to US local address of my some relative?? Is it helpful?? can you please guide me.

I wouldn't change it if I were you, I have received all my mail through email, that was the fastest way and I never worried  about the actual documentation, most of it got send to our apartment in the US, where my wife resides. If I were you I would call USCIS, you can download the Google hangouts Dialer and call any US number for free using WiFI. Ask them if they could possible resend the NOA1, maybe it got lost in transit. Sending you positive vibes.

332 day later and we finally get some news!!

Our case was finally approved (priority date Jan 15) and sent to the Department of State. Got notification via email this afternoon! Hard copy of NOA2 hasn't come in the mail yet so I cannot update my timeline quite yet.

Sweet jesus that was quite the wait, but it does come! Now the easy part!!

Hi everyone!  Are there any other January 2017 filers that are still waiting to get their NOA2?  Our NOA1 was January 3, 2017 and we STILL haven't heard anything!!  I even submitted an online request letting them know our case was outside normal processing times and their response was that our case is currently pending adjudication and that they had to perform additional reviews which have caused the longer processing time.  But we haven't received any RFE's!  Should we be worried?!?!?

@Knapik | we're still waiting from the 25th January so a similar time-frame to yourselves. It's quite disheartening seeing as how most of my family in the States has still not met my daughter (she'll be 4 soon). The economy in the country we currently live makes it essentially impossible to sustain a living when you account for cost of living vs professional salaries; hence, our desire to go back to the States (where I'm from), but instead we have to get all of our money slowly drained from us while we're unable to replenish it, it's shitty to say the least and be 100% sure that the people in these processing centres don't care the least bit of how it impacts your life, how long you might spend away from loved ones, or if it drives you into therapy. I wouldn't be worried quite yet, because there are still a few lingering cases from Nov/Dec time amazingly enough. Best of luck and God Bless.

Approved!! Ahhh! The actual interview took about 2 and a half mins. Crazy! Was kinda hoping they'd grill me a bit just to get my money's worth 😂😂 had to fly over for London just for the interview... It has cost me a fortune! but honestly it was a very painless experience! Yayyyy

Ahhhh!!!! Congratulations!!! Now just to wait for your visa. I am so happy for you. I guess something had to be quick since everything else has moved at a snail's pace.

Hubby is at the embassy now and I am going crazy waiting to hear from him.
