I understand both sides to this journey. Binna Binna and AnlJrny are equally right and both entitled to express themselves. I hope after much cooling off we all can get along because we all share a common thread and that is this process. Some wait longer than others but we will get through it. I think those of us waiting over 7 months need to take a break from this forum and regroup so that we can refocus and continue to be a source of strength for each other. We are going to need the strength to see us through and it makes no sense to build a divide. Emotions are high right now and things expressed maybe interpreted incorrectly. I hope we don't let this journey ruin the online comrade that is building and that has built as we are going to need each other for support as we all pass this first phase because there will be more waiting and more policies that will delay the process. Hope we all get along for our sakes.

I think there are some lazy adjudicators who hold onto cases longer than others....  its country based...

e.g. i have been noticing people from DR in Texas getting approval the fastest... Pakistan on the other hand was over 200 days in TSC

well, considering no one has been assigned to my case even, and other people from first world countries like Canada are still waiting along with me, I have no idea if this is the case.

It does make sense if they take longer through background checks for certain countries. But who knows!

I believe everyone has the right to share their feelings about this process, and it's different for everyone. I also understand what it has been said about not having to be in someone else's shoes and that's fine, but this is where empathy plays a huge factor, and how we relate to each other. Personally, that's not my style. Just as some people are getting approved in 2-5 months and that makes me envious but still I'm happy for them, I'm also well aware that there are people waiting longer and in more extreme situations than me, and it makes me grateful. The fact that I can complain about my 8-month current wait doesn't mean I can't support those who have been waiting either longer or even those that waited less. In the end, we are all in this together and we're trying to stay afloat, alone, in couples, with our families, and as an online community.

We are on edge and we might take things the wrong way, but most of us don't mean any harm at all.  I'm truly ecstatic that many couples and families are about to be reunited. But it is also true that practically all of us still waiting for a NOA2 would give anything to have the problem of an interview that's a couple of months away. Man, not knowing when I'll be approved or if there will be an RFE even at this point, is stressing me out so much. That's why I understand where some people are coming from.

I see folks here complaining that their interview date is too far at the same time there are folks in same Jan filers group that have not gotten NOA2... Guys, seriously though, you should really be happy and content that you have an interview date, imagine if you are in the shoes of your fellow Jan filers that haven't seen NOA2, what would you be saying instead?

Please and please just suck it up and be glad you got an interview date and you are almost seeing finish line.

Oh you're so right, how dare me be so selfish and have an opinion on something directly affecting my life.

For the record - my gripe isn't with the date of my interview directly, it's with the fact NVC state they assign dates in order of CC and in my case they did not. I have every right to be frustrated with that, I also have every right to vent said frustrations on a public forum. First amendment 😉

No one ever said that myself or anyone else didn't sympathise with those stuck in Nebraska. Yes, it's absolutely terrible. It's entirely unfair and yet again it is just another example of how corrupt the whole system is. But sure, im clearly a selfish, unsympathetic monster. Jog on.

Final note - im delighted that I have been given an interview date. I am entirely grateful that I am finally at this stage. It breaks my heart to know that others are still a few months away from where I am. I wish we could all be at the same stage. However, I am not impressed with how the NVC or USCIS operate and if I wish to publicly vocalise that, I will. 😘

As mentioned in the Nebraska thread there is something that has gone horribly wrong. I'm just as frustrated as many others are. I think the biggest problem right now is the lack of communication. We have absolutely no idea what is going on. For people at every other processing center there is a degree you can plan your lives. I spoke to my spouse last night and he asked where are things at? I said Nebraska isn't even out of Dec and next week it will be 8 months of waiting. I think Nebraska has been stuck in Nov/Dec for 3 consecutive months. This process is eating up so much of our life savings. Having to pay for two households and it's confusing for my 4 year old son. I know it's not the fault of anyone here as to why things are the way they are. But it's frustrating when we have no idea how many more months it will be just to have our i130 approved and other people have an interview date.

It just occurred to me that people from other service centers are starting to get final interview dates who have the same NOA1 date as me. I guess that's the part I'm the most frustrated with. I'm worried this process is going to eat up more of our savings and take a year and a half to complete. Imagine one person getting their entire IR1 approved in 8 months and another person having to wait 18 months? I joked in the beginning to get a divorce and apply for a K-1 Visa. I'm actually seriously wondering if it would've been a quicker route to reunite my family. I'm from Canada and been married to my spouse for 10 years, together for 12.

I don't wish what we have experienced on anybody. Everybody deserves to be processed in a reasonable time. It's just so painful to feel like the people at Nebraska have been completely left behind.

There's no point taking your anger out on other people here. We all have to stick together. It sucks waiting and we all empathize with those who still are. Equally - when people who have done the wait and spent their journey with others on this thread - we should be happy for them that their wait is finally over and this should be a space for them to express their joy! They are also allowed to express frustrations just as you are allowed to express frustration about waiting. It's all part of the process.

I think look at some of your own words of wisdom for yourself - count your blessings! You are on this journey and yes it's a long one but there are people waiting even longer (like 10+ years) to get a family visa or people who are trying in the lottery and failing or people who can't even get a visa!!! If you are in here for a spouse visa you are on the fastest route! Even if it's taking a little longer - you will reach your goal :) and we will be here to celebrate when you do and pick you up when you are down. But try not to attack others. It's frustrating for us all in all different senses.

Congrats on your "knowing your interview date". I wish you all the best with prepping for it and a successful interview :)

I apologize to anyone that my initial posting from yesterday may have affected in anyway. My intentions were meant as an encouragement and not anger from frustration or otherwise. I see from some responses that some folks think I am spiteful/envious to fellows that filed same period as me and have gotten their interview dates already. That is not the case, in fact it is a thing of joy that they are not stuck there in NVC, because if they are, then it will further ripple down to affect us that are yet to get there (first-in -  first out).

We are all on this journey together and it doesn’t matter to me who gets to the finish line first. Again, I apologize to anyone that took offense, please my intentions are positive encouragement only. The back and forth responses has been a case of misunderstanding on both my sides.

I wish you all successful immigration journey all through to the end. :)

Hi!!😁 Sometimes we have cases that have been completed before us that didn't get a date in October therefore they're given preference in getting an earlier date. Cheer up for there's light at the end of the tunnel. Congratulations 🍾🎉🎉 have a successful interview.
