Hello,

I haven't actually got my interview date yet! Im still waiting lol im assuming it will be a November interview but it hasn't been confirmed yet. My scan date (when I completed my ds260 and they had received my documents) was the 31st July and I got case complete on 15th September. It can take up to 11 weeks for NVC to review your documents after submission.

thanks for the quick reply.

where do you get or how do you get case complete?

thanks

You just wait for NVC to finish reviewing your file. If all your documents are there and correct, your financial sponsorship checks out and they have no reason to request anything further from you then they will give you case complete and then forward your case onto the embassy that deals with your beneficiaries country.

Case complete is just the term used to mean that NVC are finished with you.

Some good news from Nebraska, they are officially approving January cases :dancing:

Based on some random cases I am tracking on "Case Tracker" app, I see quite a handful approvals today (Sept 25) for January PDs mostly 1st and 2 week in January.

My heart continues to go out to folks with Aug to Dec PDs cases that are still pending. There is hope for Nebraska, all these waiting will soon be over.

...do good and good will be done onto you...

Hi ! I am filing from Belgium for my husband (I am a US citizen) with a December 21, 2016 Priority date. And still nothing ... Does anyone know if there is a number one can call at USCIS with a real human being at the end of the line ?

Also - does anyone know whether it is possible to travel back and forth between the US and Belgium with a visito/business visa while the procedure is on-going ?

Thanks for any helpful answers.

Best,

Christina

Hi guys! I have  question, the Department of State website says

"After you collect your financial forms and supporting financial evidence, you and each family member immigrating with you to the United States should collect the civil documents that are required to support your visa application."  And it keeps talking about "You and each family member immigrating with you...." or "you..."

But the wiki says that this is the beneficiary package. What should we do?

thank you!

What's your service center ? There's still a lot of people from Nebraska and a few other centers in your position sadly :( really hope you hear something soon!

I don't know if you can get a human on the phone line but I have heard of some people making appointments. Me and my husband went to the home office when I was in the states and we spoke to a real human then which was not much more helpful - basically told us either I could remain in America and not work or just wait...

Exactly right! It's the same process for both - if only you are applying you just fill in the spaces on the application that apply to you. If other members are immigrating with you - you fill them in too.

We are doing CR1, only I am immigrating.   So when it*  says "you"  they are talking to me (the beneficiary)?

Yes. The documents you provide are all about you.

All those things (police cert etc) are for you the beneficiary and then only the documents under petitioner documents are for your partner to collect as the petitioner.

It might help if you look on the NVC wiki page it clearly explains what to collect for the immigrant visa pack (beneficiary) and aos documents (petitioner)

Oh! Hello fellow Belgians :-)

I see your case landed in Nebraska... I feel for your, but it looks like you're getting a lot closer to approval!

We got tTexas and approval arrived after 159 days.

Whereabout in BE is your husband?

Also, yes, there is no problem travelling and visiting under ESTA as long as there is no intent to stay (he must always have a return ticket, and if possible proof of ties to Belgium.

For example : an employer's letter, a rental contract, a loan for a house utility/phone bills, bank account, etc). I entered the US twice while the I-130 was at USCIS without any question from the CPB officer.

Good luck!

Hi Christina,

My husband and I just recently traveled to the US from Australia a couple months ago without any issue. I called USCIS before hand they said they didn't see any issues with it, but recommended we called Boarder Patrol/Customs (forgot what the official name is) as they are the ones receiving us at the airport. We called and the hold time was insane so we hung up and just took the risk. We brought documents proving our return to Australia just as a back up, but never needed it.

After a long long wait of 243 days I got a RFE. I have submitted Marriage certificate in original and  English translated version with 16 pictures. But still they are asking me to provide the evidence of Bona fide marital relationship. Since i did not styed that much long with my spouse ( about 20 days). I were not able to open the joint bank account or have name on telephone bill. Your suggestion will be highly appreciated.

They are not expecting joint accounts if you both live in separate countries although that would be good. However, have you and your spousr spent time together since filing the petition. If you have then send in proof of that. It could be airline tickets, boarding passes, hotel receipts, tickets to plays, pictures of you guys and explain where and when they were taken. The little relationship things that normal couples do is what they expect. Again pictures of you guys at the beach, pictures out with friends and family. Messages between you too, gifts exchanged the cards from those, going to football matches etc. Don't over think it. Think of what makes a relationship true and meaningful. The above was what came to mind and what me and my spouse do as a couple. Hopefully you can find more when you think about your own relationship. Hope what i wrote helps.

I am gathering the information as much as I could. Since filing the petition I have never flown back to my country. Thank you so much Longingfor for your suggestion and time and also hope you will get your I-130 approval soon.
