Hey my fellow Jan filers, Its Friday and its time to get off and unwind.

For all you fellow Nebraskans, so I am tracking and following some random Nebraska Jan cases using Case Tracker App for iOS and it seems like they are at least looking at Jan cases finally.

Unfortunately, I am only seeing a RFEs updated Sep 19, 21 and 22. The PD dates with RFEs per the few random cases I am tracking are a sample is attached):

Jan 3rd - 4 RFEs

Jan 4th - 2 RFEs

Jan 5th - 1 RFE

Jan 9th - 1 RFE

Jan 12th - 1 RFE

Jan 24th - 1 RFE

This is a bit of good news that they are at least in Jan finally and sad that there are only RFEs and no approvals.

Is anyone else using Case Tracker App to track cases in Nebraska for Jan filers? What are you seeing? Any approvals?

I have put in a number of cases, mostly December and a few January. But I have a hard time to see the history of the cases. So I don't know which month the PD is. I think I have done too many updates.

I put out a question earlier here on vj asking if I can complete my petition before they get to it. I found out that I have sent the wrong kind of birth certificate with the application. Anyone?

I don't think it would be a bad idea to send it now, you have your casenumber so write a short not explaining what happened. I'm not saying it is the right thing to do but what better way to try and beat them to a RFE.

Omg , that was so very helpful! Thank you @LaurenAndBrent. Highly appreciate that. Can I ask you one last question please? Do we go to a specific center for police records in the country the spouse is from? I don't want anything to come back to us for more information so making sure we are sending in all the correct and extra documents as well.

Thanks again for your help!

And BTW very nice display pic 😊

@LaurenAndBrent

Im not sure which country your spouse is from but they need to just Google police clearance certificate for their own country and go through the correct body that supplies them. There are also rules in regards to how long your spouse has lived in that country, if they've lived anywhere else for a certain period of time then they would need a certificate from that country also. Maybe someone else would be able to answer this question better for you. My situation was easy - I've lived in the UK all my life so I just sent off for a UK police clearance certificate. (I did a Google search to find the correct website to obtain it from)

pitching in...police clearance report of every country your spouse has lived in since the age of 16 to date, to be exact.

So I got impatient and phoned NVC again to ask about an interview. I said that people had CC a day or two before me and found out their interview date the next day and he said it's rare but it happens. He was a nice guy! Said that they're in a bit of a "dead zone" for scheduling at the moment because they haven't received the available slots yet. He didn't know when they'd come through but said they've finished scheduling for October and should be scheduling November dates before the end of this month. Ahhhhh! Looks like i missed out on an October date by a day!! 😂😂

hi Lauren,

congratulations on getting the interview date.

i have a question. how long after you submitted the affidavit of support and all the other checklist forms that you received your interview date?

my police certificate for my Fiance took longer than expected and i am afraid that there will be a delay. i sent my documents on 9/15.

thanks again

Hello,

I haven't actually got my interview date yet! Im still waiting lol im assuming it will be a November interview but it hasn't been confirmed yet. My scan date (when I completed my ds260 and they had received my documents) was the 31st July and I got case complete on 15th September. It can take up to 11 weeks for NVC to review your documents after submission.
