I know that end of October has already been filled as the people who got theirs last week were given the 30th October. Im really hoping for early November or something but then again im not actually planning on moving till first week of December so it doesn't super matter... I just wana know! Ideally they'd tell me soon so I can book my medical lol. I work in a school and have mid term break at end of Oct going into first week of Nov so im hoping I'd be able to have my medical or interview done in that space so I don't have to take any other time off before leaving for good (currently on 2 weeks off for this suegery recovery!) Eeeekkk!

Even tho your CC came a few days after mine I reckon well hear about interview dates around the same time. Im assuming they're waiting for some info from UK embassy about available slots and then it'll be like BAM to all those with CC sitting waiting lol.

Yea I imagine we will get them all in a block! But I have seen people saying either first week or end weeks of the month so hopefully we can get the first weeks of nov??

I was thinking they would be closed for thanksgiving but I don't know if that would apply to the U.K.? But it would be the American embassy so maybe they still would? I have tickets to be in the states the whole of thanksgiving so it would be great to interview before then so I can do my POE when I arrive next time... but maybe that's too optimistic :P

Posted this in the scan date group but you guys are my homies - Jan 2017 filers from start to finish 😂😂😂 sooo we were expecting a checklist because we thought we would have income problems and would be asked to get a joint sponsor but I just logged into ceac and status has changed to AT NVC and aos payment has disappeared soooo loooks like signs of a CC ?!?!?! Can anyone confirm this - is it still possible it will change back and we will get a checklist?? Don't wanna get too excited before knowing but at the moment even a gust of wind on the site gets me ecstatic 😂😂

our scan date was August 9th and possible case complete today ?! (Sep 21st)

The wait for the interview date to come through is not an easy one, let me tell ya! I've been checking my emails hundreds of times a day since we got CC on Friday! Still no sign of a date yet, im hoping it'll come through soon... im too excited I just need to know now when the big day is!

Some people get interview dates within a day or two, others it can take weeks... hopefully we both hear soon!

Thank you! I sure hope its sooner than later for us Jan Filers waiting for interview dates! Definitely nerve wracking! But we aren't new to this waiting game, unfortunately.

So I got impatient and phoned NVC again to ask about an interview. I said that people had CC a day or two before me and found out their interview date the next day and he said it's rare but it happens. He was a nice guy! Said that they're in a bit of a "dead zone" for scheduling at the moment because they haven't received the available slots yet. He didn't know when they'd come through but said they've finished scheduling for October and should be scheduling November dates before the end of this month. Ahhhhh! Looks like i missed out on an October date by a day!! 😂😂

Awww man!!! Well that's ok, November will still get you to the states in November, God willing.

And it sounds like you'll have your date in the matter of a few days!

Hey guys, quick question-  so I got married this year in Jan. When I filed my taxes, I was still single and I was single all last year. Would that be an issue when I send my Tax returns with I-184 form as my tax returns state I am single. I didn't even know we could show the douse before he was here in US and have an ssn number. I haven't heard back from Nebraska yet but we are trying to get everything together so we can send in everything when we get approved as soon  we are able to.

Also, the person who wrote that NVC process guide, God bless you 😊 Very helpful! My only question from that guide is- beneficiary sends in the AOS and IV package in mail to NVC when everything is done right- The forms are filled, the fees are paid.. ?? I didn't know see where one would get the bar-coded coversheet.

Thank you you very much for your guidance and support everyone and Goodluck to everyone who's waiting like me. My hubby and I have been together for 3 years and officially got married this year but I miss him so much.

Congratulations to everyone who got approved and also have their cases completed. 😊

Hello,

if you were not married last year means you were single for the whole year. your consider married this year because you got married in this tax year and you can choose to do MFJ( married filing jointly) return but you have to get the ITIN # for your spouse which can be done by from W7.

i was married in 2016 and when i did my 2016 tax i did as single and send those documents to NVC i did not have any problem.

As far who submit the AOS and IV pacakage. i am the pettioner and i sent all tbe documents for my spouse. i hope all that helps thanks!

Thank you @NAME101. Appreciate your response! Glad to know you had no problems 😊.

And I am the petitioner too. I guess I could send all our stuff too for him from USA. I just was confused about how to get the bar-coded cover sheet that's mentioned in the NVC guide as one of the documents you have to send with each package. Know what I am talking about ?

I see someone has already answered the barcoded sheet question for you but just to give you a lil heads up for the future - they only require the documents to be sent in one package now. Both sets of docs go into one envelope with one barcoded coversheet on top :)

Just a lil something minor to help prepare. Sometimes the guides don't get updates as regularly as NVC like to change how they do things lol. Realistically you could go ahead and start gathering all that info now and compiling it into a package. Once you've been assigned your NVC case number and have paid the fees online you can mail the package. You don't have to wait till the very end of all of the steps, it can be mailed before the ds260 is completed. However, your "scan date" won't start until they have received the package and the ds260 is done.

Omg , that was so very helpful! Thank you @LaurenAndBrent. Highly appreciate that. Can I ask you one last question please? Do we go to a specific center for police records in the country the spouse is from? I don't want anything to come back to us for more information so making sure we are sending in all the correct and extra documents as well.

Thanks again for your help!

And BTW very nice display pic 😊
