Seems a remember a many thousands man March.  The park service gave estimated crowd sizes way less than ones claimed by Jessie, Al, Farrakahan and the usual suspects.  The park service was vilified and called racist. The media piled on.

Oh, I take it back. I guess it didn't register after all. Oh well maybe next time. In the meanwhile there are some of us that have and will use that wealth of knowledge in our possession. Back to the topic: Anybody who seriously thinks after looking at all the metrics that it is possible that there were less than half a million people at the inauguration is fake news. I examined those myself and I would say Obama(both times) had more people for sure, but I would put Trump tied with Clinton's first(around 700,000-800,000), and better than both Bushs.

i was wondering if after this weekend and all the utter stupidity spewed by trump train, if some of the 'not really trump supporter-trump supporters' here at cehst would stop kidding themselves and defending the indefensible. and my goodness, i'm not disappointed. ya'll are a-clingin. lol.

I'm not sure who you're talking about because I didn't see anybody here defending Trump. I also don't know what others are defending but speaking for myself I find it reprehensible when some on the left try to demonize someone, anyone, over anything, and also try to minimize everything they accomplish. You see, you mock someone, and when they defend themselves you say they  have an ego. I know it cause it's been done to me before even in this forum. So Trump stands up for himself rightfully so and again ego gets brought up. Well if you don't want people to need to defend themselves maybe you should quit with your foolishness to begin with.

 

All I have to say about Trump is it's day 4 and I haven't seen anything I haven't liked yet. When I do I will point it out quicker than you can say smilesammich, and I am sure it will happen quite a bit actually.

wait, who is being mocked? who is being dehumanized? trump is peddling lies, for the sake of his ego. you think trump is doing awesome four days in, with all the lies they spewed this weekend, all the whining with his cia speech? conways attempt to make 'alternative facts' happen? i mean, it's all so ridiculous its funny. but, no disrespect. i can tell you're very heated about how the american people treat a liar in chief. specially when that liar in chief is so bold as to lie about matters we can see with our own eyes, lies that are quite easily exposed. if i were a trump supporter, i'd be a bit offended at how completely dumb he believes his followers to be. trump absolutely did not have the biggest-most attended ANYTHING.

Nor did I claim he did. In fact I acknowledged fully that Obama's crowd was bigger both times. I also said Trump speaks like a 10 year old at times and what I care more about is actions not words. If you wanna cling to every word be my guest. I don't know, maybe the mere fact that I am not a Trump fan makes it easier for me to ignore his words as I have no expectations there. Zero. It also makes it easier for me to not get offended by any rubbish that comes out of his mouth. What I am referring to is his job, his actions. He has done nothing I can point to right now that I think is a disaster. Of course when the time comes and he adds trillions to the debt or any other plans he has that I've already expressed my displeasure with I won't have an issue speaking out against it. For now I'm for giving the elected president the benefit of the doubt to see what he can or can't do, and this whole silly crowd thing was not started by him it was started by those who chose to mock the size of it(it was the same thing with the hands, really). edit to add, if you claimed that you had one of the biggest crowds in history (not the biggest) and folks lied to take that accomplishment away from you - that would be wrong. but that is not what happened with trump/spicer, they didn't claim to have just accomplished drawing a large crowd. they claimed to accomplish drawing the biggest crowd ever. a lie.
