I call once a month to check on my husbands case to see if any changes made and the last time the tier two officer was really rude told me I called to often and was hurting his chance at getting the case looked at.  He then hung up on me so I haven't called this month. Is this true or did I just get a frazzled officer at the wrong time?

Who knows, you just have to wait anyway.

I don't think calling would affect it. There's no reason it should... I called often and ours was processed quickly! If anything, it helped them communicate better with us!

I think the guy who told you that was just an a- hole

Calling will not make it go faster, the cases that are returned are processed in the order they receive, but I think you do run the risk of them flagging you in there system, I mean how did he  know you call every month, granted he was rude but you don't know what he can write in the system, I would be careful, good luck

I use the 1800-375-5283 ask for a tier 2 officer after the lady gives her spiel and tell her the problem is above what she or he can help with. Thanking them and being polite helps a lot also, I am sure they get a lot of stressful calls from us panicked waiters.

Can you please let us know which number are you calling? When i call i am only directed to automated response which then tells me to send an email for any inquiry.... I really would like to speak to someone as my issue is different.

You can make appointment at a local office also, I go to sacremento office to talk to them some times.

Every time you call ask a question they give you a number and it's answered eventually, it's on your case page summery you called and if a officer has been assigned to look at the question and answer.  Like the soft touch it shows date they look at it. I think it's good to check once a mo th and if around holidays the risk of reaching a rude operator is greater as we all get lonely and possibly call more at that time
