Hi VJ-ers,

I have a question regarding EAD expedite.

I applied AOS/EAD/AP back in late 10/2016 and PD is 10/31/2016.

I have called uscis last week to request expedite and They created a request due to "financial loss". Last friday, They sent me a letter to give instructions for what I need to send. But up till now, it has been a week and I still have not received it yet. I called back this morning and they said, I cannot send any proof of financial loss without letter from uscis. Don't know what I should do now, it marks day 82th today. Will this request make my application on hold until I send all needfuls?

This process pushes me in deep depress.

Thanks.

Because probably by the time they send the letter and you respond back your EAD/AP combo will already be issued without the expedite.

Look at your timeline approximate adjudication date...you're almost there.

So whether or not I request an expidite, my application will still be processed as others?

When an expedite is granted you usually get processed ahead of others/time.  At this point the expedite seems moot. You're already at day 82. You should receive your combo card soon anyway without processing the expedite.

Pretty much yes. Even if for some reason an expedite was approved, your EAD would still be adjudicated in the same time frame as everyone else because the average waiting time is 90 days. Expedite isn't as fast as next day, it speeds it up, but it can still take 2 or more weeks, which by then you should have already had it just from normal processing non-expedited time.

There's a chance the letter was just slowed down in the mail, but it's also possible they didn't send it because it's a waste of time on their part since it's just extra paperwork for an EAD that will probably be approved soon anyways.

Nothing you really can do but wait for the EAD card.  I believe they are running a bit behind but I really think you will receive it soon.  When you go to your final interview just explain the situation...that you should receive your EAD anyday.  Maybe you will have it by the day of interview!

Thanks Lioness!

In case of i765 approval, how long it takes for card in hands?

As Im aware it will change from Case received -> new card is being produced -> card was mailed to me.

P/s I no longer see signature of VJ-ers anymore when I use phone. New version may restrict this feature, or due to browser capability.

I don't have a signature.

From what I am seeing in the November AOS filers thread is that members who NOA1 is the very first week in November are starting to see what you posted above, that their card is being produced.  Does your case tracker still just show received?  Mine does.  My NOA date is 12/7
