I received my I-485 notice on September 23rd 2016 and had my biometrics interview on October 21st 2016 (St Paul, Minnesota). I received my EAD that I filed in parallel on 28th November 2016. I have heard nothing since on my Green Card application and the status check on the USCS website just says that my application is being processed. At what stage should I call and chase this? Is there a set number of days? A relaleted question which has prompted this query is that I have a status check due on my Minnesota driving license or March 20th, I need to demonstrate that I am a lawful resident to continue being able to drive here, Will my EAD card be sufficient to have this extended? Or do I need another letter from USCIS?

Thanks

Rob

There is nothing to chase.  Green Card's can take up to one year to receive.  To prove legal status take your EAD card and NOA1 from the I-485 application.

You can read posts in the AOS forum and review timelines to see how long I-485 can take to process.
