Hi,

I’m here to get a suggestion on bringing my dad to US. He is diagnosed with brain tumor. One of my friends is specialized in neurology in a super specialty hospital in the US. I heard about some solution to bring a patient to another country by some immigration formalities by some doctors. I don’t know the actual process related to that. I’m planning to either apply for a visit visa or super visa for my dad. Need advice to choose the best option to bring my dad here and provide good treatment for him. Waiting for your reply.

Thanks in advance

The super visa you are pointing to is a Canadian visa.   That will do nothing to get him to the US.   IF you are trying to get him here be prepared to show that he can pay for all expected aspects of his medical treatment out of his own pocket.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

Are you looking to get him to Canada or the USA?

If the USA, he needs a B2 which is also suitable for medical treatment.  He will need to show he has the funds to pay for all the treatment and after care which is needed in the USA, which I imagine would be very steep for a brain tumor.

If your dad is Canadian, all he needs is a passport and does not need to apply for a B2 visa, as all Canadian citizens are auto-granted B2 status upon POE. Canadians can stay up to 6 months as a visitor in the U.S. without a visa. Be advised that for such a lengthy stay, he'll most likely be asked to provide proof of ties back to Canada and proof that he can financially support himself during his (most likely) lengthy stay while in the U.S.
