and CONGRATULATIONS!!! :jest:

Thanks! ?

Nope, just parallel parking and regular parking, nothing crazy. We didn't drive on the highway, just the blocks around the DPS, neighborhood streets mainly, so make sure you stay under 35mph! I believe it took like 15-20 minutes tops. She/he will explain to you at the end of the test what you did wrong, you are allowed a point deductions of up to 33 before they fail you, so don't worry, you don't have to be perfect! (But don't go crazy on mistakes either)

So I had the written test and as Marc already said it's decently easy and a lot of common sense questions, but it is good that you read the Driver's manual for the State you're in to learn the speed limits, penalties and stuff ,specially for DUIs and anything concerning alcohol and driving or hitting someone while you were drunk and such. Very specific penalties (monitary and jail and you need to know the term , driving while intoxicated, etc).

The exam had 30 questions; about 1/3 concerning signs, 1/3 concerning stopping, driving, switching lanes, emergency vehicles passing etc...and there was at least 5-6 questions concerning alcohol and driving. The most common sense and obvious answer should be the right one, so don't panic, just relax and exclude the other- very obviously silly- answers.

Then you should know about when to turn on the headlighs, how far you see during the night, what is the distance you need to keep from other cars, where you can or can't park...etc..very simple and logical Q&A.

Apperently my county is very busy so the first opening for practical driving test is on 3rd of April...as soon as I survive that...I report.

Thanks everyone and specially Marc for helping me not to freak out.

I think in a place the size of the Metroplex, they are ALWAYS doing major road works!

But they are building more tolled expressways that are already under utilized as it is.
