Hi everyone

my friend is a 10 years green card holder

after 5years she just noticed that her name on her green card is wrong..

Correct name full name

Mary Rose Cruz Tan

but on her Gc front:

given name Mary R

last name Tan

but on the back of  her GC her name is complete and correct

she is planning to visit her family this year

is she gonna have problem with that if she use it? Thank you

Think that is a very common error when paperwork gets processed for people with two first names. My partner goes by Zian; but his name is Joy Paul legally, and every document we have done or applied for they always put Paul as his middle name instead of the actual middle name.

Or they make Joypaul one word. Sometimes it's the person processing the paperwork or just the system itself as it does not recognize the two words and just combines them.

I don't think it would be much issue since back of the card does say her name full and correct.

Does she also have her original passport also? If so use that as backup to verify if there is any issues. Or can try to get a new GC with correct name on the front.

My 10 year green card has my middle initial but not middle name on the front.  They probably think those are her middle names.  She should've fixed this when she got it.

Since rhe entire name is on the back she should be fine when traveling.
