Case Transfer SG to Manila

When my Fiance went for her interview, the CO told her after receiving your visa, you can request to have her Son K2 case transferred to Manila. My fiance received her Visa on Jan 13th. We called the Embassy but were told to send an email asking for a transfer. We sent an email three days ago, checked on CEAC, noticed his file was touched yesterday the 18th. Does anyone know how long it takes for a case to be transferred? Thanks!

 

By the way, this petition was approved USCIS on 6/15/2016 and I understand that petition is good for 4 months after approval. But, due to AP processing for my Fiance and her Medical, the visa process took longer and I wonder if this will effect his K2 Visa or extension will be granted automatically by the embassy.

I had my case transferred from Manila to SG however this was during NVC stage it took them a week to respond to my email and gave me a new case number. Since it was still in NVC I have emailed NVC about it not sure on how long it would be when you dealing with Consulate Stage.

Yeah, we still waiting to hear from them, they are really getting bad and slow when it comes to responding to emails. So when they ready to transfer they would issue new case number with MNL instead of SGP?

 For mine that's what they did I got an MNL case number previously then gave me SGP, invoice number stay the same. All information saved in DS260 also would remain. Basically its like logging in with different case number but all info stay as is. Hope they can actually speed up the process and it would be done soon.

Thank you for asking, Case has been touched yesterday. I am hoping it would changed to READY today. Did they call you once visa was approved and to be issued? Or you just waited to see if status will change in CEAC site?

Do they have your passport? What does it say on top...None Immigrant Visa or Immigrant Visa when you check on CEAC?

It has always been Immigrant Visa since I am a CR1. Yes they do have my passport I have submitted it along with the documents since they told me so.

Oh, right you are on CR1...I think today or Monday/Tuesday should change between AP and Issued. Anytime now!

SG Embassy responded to our request for transfer and then they gave us Manila Embassy Email to request for Manila to ask for transfer...this is really stupid and waste of time..I don't understand the process of transfer why they make it so complicated...what a bunch of idiots!

Wow that is crazy is it possible to bring your stepchild here and process it here. its not that far i heard Manila is quite efficient tho but case transfer is a low priority during consulatw stage thats what I read somewhere in VJ when I considered my case to be move here.

Well, I am not sure if this is what they normally do. My fiance is leaving SG on the 25th of this month to Manila. She has to travel to the states before March 15th or she will need new Medical and starting all over...We just have to wait for reply from Manila and see.

UPDATE:

After sending US Embassy in Philippines email requesting K2 to be transferred from Singapore to Manila. Ten days later I received an email from US Embassy in Singapore notifying me the case is being transferred. Checked on CEAC and status says "TRANSFER IN PROGRESS." 

 

Hope by next week we can begin the K2 Visa application process.

Hi.. how long it took the transfer of K2 visa from Singapore to Manila?

 

I had the same case. I did my k1 visa in Singapore and its approved. I am in US now. I came her April 2018. Then this October we decided to process the K2 visa of my son, same I emailed US embassy manila and Singapore and upon checking the status its still Transfer in Progress until now.. its been 2 months already. They said it will take several months when I called.

 

I just wanna know roughly how long it took for you.
