Hi all,

My wife's biometrics appointment is coming up for her I-751 removal of conditions petition. What will she need to take with her to the appointment? What do they do there (i know they take your photograph and fingerprints)? Also, do I (US Citizen Spouse) need to come with her? Also, how long can it take for her to get her GC after this appointment (we are working with VSC)?

Someone who has already been through this - give me their FYI.

Thanks.

Did you bother read the notice??? It tells you everything you need to know, very clearly, in bold letters and IN CAPS.

WHEN YOU GO TO THE APPLICATION SUPPORT CENTER TO HAVE YOUR BIOMETRICS TAKEN, YOU MUST BRING:

1. THIS APPOINTMENT NOTICE and

2. PHOTO IDENTIFICATION. Naturalization applicants must bring their Alien Registration Card. All other applications must bring a passport, driver's license, national ID, military ID, or State-issued ID. If you appear without proper identification, your biometrics may not be taken.

How is there possibly any room for questions, given such a notice?

Also, do I (US Citizen Spouse) need to come with her?
No. Again, look at the notice.

"Due to limited seating availability in our lobby area, only persons who are necessary to assist with transportation or completing the biometrics worksheet should accompany you."

Also, how long can it take for her to get her GC after this appointment (we are working with VSC)?
It can take a very long time. My wife had her appointment in December, and we still do not have the card (although we expect it in the mail any day now).

Cheers!

PEOPLE: READ THE APPLICATION FORM INSTRUCTIONS!!!! They have a lot of good information in them! Most of the questions I see on VJ are clearly addressed by the form instructions. Give them a read!! If you are unable to understand the form instructions, I highly recommend hiring someone who does to help you with the process. Our process, from K-1 to Citizenship and U.S. Passport is completed. Good luck with your process.

Why, because I took the time and effort to answer your question very quickly, with correct information that you can easily verify by looking at your notice, and pointed out what your notice says?

Prints and photo.

Cheers!
