Sounds like Security Check black hole. Have a read through the detailed review of USCIS Alien Security Checks linked in my signature. Perhaps you may find an answer there. I do know that one can take legal action but off hand I cannot remember the exact circumstances except to say that it is length of time based.

I sure hope you get an approval soon.

You can find me on FBI

I just have one question to find out whether this will be a problem. I have changed my name on all of my documents to my first name, maiden name and married name. When I sent the paperwork to have my passport changed, it was sent back with my first name, middle name, and married name. Will this be a problem since all of my other id's and documents use my maiden name as my middle but the passport uses my real middle name. I am planning on mailing the I-130 first thing Monday a.m.

asalaamu alaikoum Belal! We saw you were touched on March 9, that is progress! I sure hope your approval is soon. Does your visa expire this year? Because you are here on a K3, you will need to file your AOS papers right away and probably have to file for an extension. Good luck to you and Eman.

Our 130 took a longgggggggggggg time to complete also. It was almost 2 years from filing to approval, for this I say Alhamdulillah for K3! :)

Hi...our I-130 was "touched" on march 2 (we sent it to NSC in october 2005) and after that, itwas touched another 2-3 times and then we got the RFE. They wanted the original copy of the Marriage certificate. We sent the RFE back two days later and we haven't heard anything from them for more than a week. Do we have to be worried about it? I heard a lot of people saying that usually immigration sends you an email (with the upload) to let you know that they got the RFE, but they haven't sent us anything yet. I wonder why!!!

How long might usually take to be approved/denied after they get the RFE?
