Thanks for clarifying. Were you ever notified about your case being transferred? If no, you were most likely processed by CSC.

@Sukie Am I seeing this correctly? VSC is processing July 28 2016 as of December 31, 2016! That has to be a mistake. It puts all April 2016 filers outside the so called "normal processing time".

Hopes rises and falls rapidly...definitely a mistake. All forms are listed as July 28, 2016.

Someone else posted about this - of course it is an error.  If you use the spreadsheet that is available on the VJ front page (look on the bottom left - for I-751 and VSC) you'll see that there are four February 2016 filers who have been approved in the last couple of days.  Perhaps in another 60 days, we'll start hearing!

• Mine was approved on February 13th and my status changed to card being mailed on the 15th. I have my complete name on the new green card instead of just the first part of my first name. Lol Today, I got my new card! What a journey. Time for collecting more evidence for the naturalization application.

congrats.we approved at the same day and even when they mailed it.hoping that i can get mine soon.good luck for your next journey the naturalization because i need to wait more years to apply for my naturalization.

checked my mailbox today..My 10 year GC is on my hand now.Thank you so much Lord for being with me to all my journey in life.The 9.5 months of waiting for the approval is worth it because i never wait so long to receive  my physical GC .it tooks only 5 days after the approval.

I just took advantage of the processing times glitch and submitted a service request and it worked!!! I should hear something by next month.

@Sukie: I mentioned that a March 2016 filer got approved but it was so hard to believe given that some December 2015 filers are still waiting and February 2016 just started (barely) rolling in. I went back to the thread to see if I could find a reason behind this and I did. Turns out this filer put in a request to have their case expedited (See: https://www.uscis.gov/forms/expedite-criteria). Who knew? I'm not sure if you'll be interested in trying this route. Not the best chances but you may qualify given the medical situation with your spouse. I say give it a try Sukie. At least, it may force them to look at your case earlier.

VSC is moving slower than a snail. The corrected update now shows that they're processing Dec 28 2015 as of December 31 2016. I went ahead and took advantage of the error that allowed for a case inquiry. Not sure if it will though.

Yeah I was going to do the same thing but didn't get the opportunity yet today. Now I see they updated to state processing cases from December 2015. ?

So, how do these processing dates work? For example, just now they corrected it to processing cases of December 28, 2015 as of December 31st, 2016 which is literally a year apart... so does that mean right NOW, because it is February 2017, they are processing cases of February 2016 and they just haven't updated this month's, or does it not work like that?

Ah, the USCIS and their processing dates.... it depends who you ask. As you've noticed, the posted dates are "current as of December 31, 2016." They're always at least that far out of date. It's right there on the screen - always at least 6 weeks out of date. However, if you call USCIS tomorrow and ask them what date they're working on, they will say "VSC is working on December 28, 2015" as though that was posted today and accurate as of today. It is to USCIS' obvious benefit to post dates that are old, but treat them as if they were current, since that buys them more time in which they can claim that our case is within the normal (current) timeframe.

We know that if those dates are actually accurate, and if we are still seeing people with similar dates getting approved now, then that means the office has not kept up with I-751 applications at all, and are, in fact, losing ground. (Since we would expect to see approval dates 1 1/2 months later than the date posted from 1 1/2 months ago, and, anecdotally, based on VJ's approval data, they're not)

Hopefully, you're right. Hopefully, VSC, if it's even keeping up, should be processing Feb 2016 applications NOW, since they were processing December cases in December. Actually, ideally, they'd be processing late Feb/ early Mar applications now, because that would mean that they're making headway on the backlog of cases. But there isn't really a way to know that, unless the data that VJ collects starts to bear it out.

We know that 2 years ago, when many of us were waiting for I-130 approvals for CR1 visas, there was a massive backlog at USCIS that meant many of us waited for a year or more to be able to move to the US. All of those of us who had been married for less than 2 years at that time, as well as all the K-1/AOS path CR1 applicants, are now up to do Removal of Conditions. 

We're in the same backlog, it seems, and who knows when it will end.... And all of us who want to get citizenship in time to vote in the mid-term elections will be stuck in it again. Sigh......
