Hi, sorry you didn't get replies the first time. Tomorrow, it will be about 30 days since they got your RFE response. I think you should call USCIS tomorrow and speak with a Tier 2. Some people here have said you need to call as soon as the office opens in the morning to have a good chance of getting to a Tier 2. At least, you should be asking USCIS to acknowledge receipt of your RFE response. It is very important that you get assurance that they got your RFE response. Alos, I think you should definitely do infopass to get a stamp in your passport- It doesn't hurt to get one. Hopefully, all these will be resolved before November when you need to travel out. Please scroll back through recent discussion on this forum to see what I and @Private One had to say about applying for N-400 while I-751 is pending. Good luck buddy.

Thank you so much @St.James-One for your reply. I just checked my online status and it says New Card is being Processed! So I guess i don't need to call them anymore! Really appreciate the help!

Now the only thing I need to figure out is whether to apply for naturalization now or after the trip? Naturalization may take another year so can we travel Internationally if our application for naturalization is pending with USCIS?

Hello all- I was advised by my lawyer that the avg processing time they are seeing now is 14 months, so not to be surprised by any delays April filers may be seeing. Just in case this helps calm anyone's nerves.

Thanks for letting us know. This definitely makes me feel better.

My case was received on April 7th, still waiting...no RFE, no communication at all. Called support, spoke with T2 and didn't get any useful info.

Reposting again in the hope of getting some replies. Anyone who received an RFE and still waiting?

My ROC was received on 4/7/2016.

Change of the address on 8/25/2016.

Heard nothing thereafter till March when I enquired about the status of my application on 3/19/2017 and received a request for more evidence on 3/24/2017

submitted documents again that they asked for which was delivered on 4/12/17

Now, how long should I wait before contacting them again to check the status on my application?

Also, I will be traveling out of US in November. So should I file N-400? Will it create any issues with International travel if my application of ciizenship is pending?

Should I apply now or wait for the new green card?

So confused!

I sent my RFE on 04/19 via Fedex and was received by USCIS on 04/21. No response yet.

Please give me an update on your status if your is on progress.

Congratulations!

Hopefully, I will get something either next week or the following week.

My infopass appointment is on 16th, just to see if I could get some sort of temporary extension without passport because I can't get it renewed =(

Thank you and I am sure you'll get it soon. Doesn't hurt to send an online enquiry meanwhile.

Hang in there! good luck :)

I've submitted the online inquiry several times. It keeps telling me that I'm still within the normal processing time.

The wait is officially over!

Today I received the congratulations letter with the decision date noting 05/10.

The decision letter had Atlanta office on it (where I am located).

Also it had only my first name's initial letter as well as my full last name.

I made an infopass appointment couple weeks ago but still plan to go to check if they misspelled my name on the new card.

Couple of updates from my side:

#1) Last week I was out of the country on vacation (in beautiful Dominica watching test match cricket). I was traveling with an ADIT stamp on my passport. I had immigration at San Juan, Puerto Rico. The officer escalated my case to secondary. They asked a few questions (purpose of travel, # of days, occupation, etc.) and I was out without any problems.

#2) Today I received my approval letter form the Atlanta office with date of decision 05/10.

Hi all,

This forum has been invaluable. Everyone has been so nice, and reading about everyone's journey is very comforting in these uncertain times. After a bit of a headache for me and my wife we finally got our approval today in the mail. Reailly wasn't expecting it at all. Our package was received on 4/15/16 and our decision was on 5/10/17. Card should be in hand soon. Again, thank you everyone for your help. It's amazing to see how far my wife and I have come. We were a new couple living in a studio together in the lower east side to a couple married for a few years expecting our first child!

The fact that we've had the support of everyone here and didn't have to hire lawyers is such a boost. Thanks again! On to citizenship!
