I just arrived in Boston to attend an infopass appt tomorrow. I was also hoping to have approval letter in my mailbox when i reach home after a week of vacation.

I am in an uber. Checked my status and now it says that they ordered production of new card today :) i guess its done now but i still hope to see the approval letter when I reach home!

What was your wait time from this point till card in hand ?

NOA Date of 4/12/2016. No word. I called USCIS earlier but I missed the cutoff for the Tier 2 queue.

Question: I heard that you need to be within 30 days of anniversary of expiration of the GC to apply for the i-551. Is that correct?

No i don't believe this is correct.

I got a stamp 6 months prior to my extension letter expiring. I was traveling and was concerned about entering back with just the letter so I made an infopass and they gave me a stamp. They said I can keep going for a stamp until I receive my GC.

I think it depends on the office you go to.

Yeah, like the above poster said... I received approval letter but went ahead to get a stamp since I will be traveling soon. Instead of giving me a short term stamp, the officer extended me for a year!

Reposting again in the hope of getting some replies. Anyone who received an RFE and still waiting?

My ROC was received on 4/7/2016.

Change of the address on 8/25/2016.

Heard nothing thereafter till March when I enquired about the status of my application on 3/19/2017 and received a request for more evidence on 3/24/2017

submitted documents again that they asked for which was delivered on 4/12/17

Now, how long should I wait before contacting them again to check the status on my application?

Also, I will be traveling out of US in November. So should I file N-400? Will it create any issues with International travel if my application of ciizenship is pending?

Should I apply now or wait for the new green card?

So confused!

Hello All,

I received my approval letter on Monday 5/8/2017. It was dated 5/3/2017. It probably came on Saturday but I missed it since I was not stalking the mailbox. I have updated the spreadsheet. I just checked my online status now and it says new card was ordered 5/10/17. Incidentally I went to my infopass appointment on 5/2/2017 to get a stamp in my passport. I asked the officer if there was any movement on my case and she said I was still a conditional resident. Little did I know the approval would come the next day. Good luck to everyone still waiting. I now have to get my act together to file N-400.

Hi, sorry you didn't get replies the first time. Tomorrow, it will be about 30 days since they got your RFE response. I think you should call USCIS tomorrow and speak with a Tier 2. Some people here have said you need to call as soon as the office opens in the morning to have a good chance of getting to a Tier 2. At least, you should be asking USCIS to acknowledge receipt of your RFE response. It is very important that you get assurance that they got your RFE response. Alos, I think you should definitely do infopass to get a stamp in your passport- It doesn't hurt to get one. Hopefully, all these will be resolved before November when you need to travel out. Please scroll back through recent discussion on this forum to see what I and @Private One had to say about applying for N-400 while I-751 is pending. Good luck buddy.
