Husband brings in mail.

Me "nothing of interest I assume"

Him "actually I think we got something..."

Me *sprints over to mail* "No! This is from the treasury, it's our refund check!" (A whopping $16)

He psyched me out!!! *pouts*

I would have killed him first, and then hugged his neck.  Wait.  That might not be a good order to do things in.  He sounds like he has a great sense of humor!!!

Congrats on your refund...

Still waiting for decision letter . Noa date April 28 2016 . The worst part our lease ends on may 21 ... if I change my address from here . It could delay the whole process again .:(

I really hope you get your approval letter and GC before your lease ends. It's too late in the process to have more delays because of change in address.

Definitely stressful. I have a feeling we will get ours before then! Hopefully this week. We have the same NOA date. Sending good vibes for both of us!

Late to the party but in our case, I randomly checked the website and it said our case was approved (4/25/2017). We did not receive our letter until a few days after (I assume it was mailed out the 25th). At least on our case the website was updated in real-time. Now just waiting for my wife's card.

My wife obtained a stamp about a month ago for work confirmation and it was a good idea as her GC extension ends this week. Too close for comfort.

Congrats to everyone else who received approval and good luck to those still pending!

Hmmm, well I'm thinking I'll get the stamp to be on the safe side. Better to be careful, right?!

Yep, I just went to get the stamp. And coincidentially, my status changed online. Now my card is being produced... though there's still a chance that I won't get it before I leave the country. The IO did share that receiving the approval letter sort of overrides the extension letter, but she didn't really mention what CPB would do if we were to enter without the stamp. Oh well...!

i am stressed too now.  My GC expired 6/16/16.  The NOA1 on my removal of conditions is dated 4/11/17.  So am not sure what date to go by in terms of needing a stamp in my passport.

I'm pregnant with a month to go and really don't need this stress of not knowing why not approved.  I've thought of getting an infopass appt but haven't seen any availability when i've checked.  Plus I really don't want to take time off work to go get this done when I'm trying to save my days for maternity leave.  It's so random and unpredictable.  At first I was trying to have patience but that seems to have run out.  Every day go check mailbox but nothing in there.

Stressed out today....  What if I do nothing and it's end of June and still no approval.  I know by then I will probably file a service request.  If I remember with new baby on board....  But what if I forget and i have no extension or stamp...my status is safe right?

My NOA is dated 4/12/2016, and my extension expired on 4/25/17, I called USCIS, and they said as this is out of normal processing time, agent opened a Service request for my case, gave me that no. and said I should get an update within 30 days...wth. Checking my mail box every day since 2 weeks but nothing. Let's see. Anything else I need to do ? FYI...I don't have any plans to travel so didn't think of getting stamp in passport. Also no address change or any other changes in my case.

Check Infopass right after midnight. That's the only way I could get it.

It seems that NYC is going slow. Most of our cases are at the local NY office and they are just super slow. I see that New Yorkers from February were just getting approved these days so we might have to wait a month or two longer.

In any case, get the infopass scheduled. Stay up tonight until 1am and keep clicking to schedule an appointment. You'll probably need the stamp.

Hi everyone- off topic, but I need your experience with this. Any of you had trouble with your car insurance and what I assume somewhat recent driver license due to being considered non experienced driver? Our current policy will go up by $1000 due To an error in their system- they claimed I wasn't previously properly rated by their system, and now they want originals of my driving record from Mexico which I don't have because I had to turned them in to the rmv when I converted my license.i sent them my Zipcar info which I used years ago with my Mexican license and also a letter from a previous insurance I used with my Mexican driver license as well where it states I never had accidents nor violations during the time I was insured with them [more than 10 years ago].

Mind you, we don't really have driving records in Mexico, they gave me something close enough for the rnv to take it.

Sorry for the long post and for off topic question.

I'm sorry that this is so stressful, for all of us. Just keep repeating to yourself: "My status doesn't change. I'm still a legal permanent resident."

You don't need the stamp at all if you're not leaving the country. (Or getting a new job or a new drivers license or a mortgage in some (but not all) states.)

You certainly don't need it until your extension expires, on the one year anniversary of the expiry of your green card.

Try not to stress about why you haven't been approved. Your file is likely on the desk of "the slow worker" at USCIS, and it'll come through soon.

If it will help you to feel less stressed, by all means get the stamp. Your peace of mind is worth one extra day off work before baby.

Good luck!

Is your timeline updated?

Like the others said, please don't be stressed by this! It's not good for the baby. Just remember - you will be approved no matter what. I believe you can file for a service request already. Try calling USCIS and request to speak with a Tier 2 officer. See if anyone has been assigned to your case yet, if not, ask to file a service request. :)

How many months are you with the pregnancy? Congratulations, momma!

We have almost the same dates ( filed date & extension expropriation date) and i am still waiting with no update too.

I feel like they giving priority to those who are close to expropriation date to avoid more chaos. I called Uscis and they said it still in normal processing time and wait another 4-6 weeks, if still nothing call again .
