Hi everyone!

It's first time to write.

Finally, I got approval letter today (4/17/2017).

I sent my petition to VSC and it was received on 4/19/2016. NOA1 date is 5/9/2016. I went to Biometrics on 6/17/2016. And division date is 4/9/2017.

I have been worried and frustrated for long time (same as you all) because my case status on USCIS website haven't changed since my case was received (actually it's still same). I was thinking that I would have to get infopass appointment in a couple of weeks.

Now I'm just waiting for my new green card and I hope I could get it safely.

Hello! 

I just got request for evidence which says that "Your supporting evidence does not sufficiently establish that you and your former spouse entered the marriage in good faith and continued to share a life together until your legal separation" and they asked me to send them evidence that me and my former spouse had resided together. 

I will send copy of our lease, but 

I'm panicked :/ what if it's not enough.

I am also going to file my new lease agreement with the new place anyway, I will make another letter that we moved into a new place during the process of this application.

 

I do feel hopeful now, the RFE letter was quite surprisingly listed the documents that I sent them over to them.

Apparently, I only sent a month of our joint bank account, instead of the past 3 ~ 4 years. I will submit more bank account statements.

They specifically mentioned that they have my statefarm bills and insurance (it literally said statefarm).

 

I will complete all the details by next week and send them over.

Hopefully they will not put me into the interview process because both of my extend letter and the driver's license expires in June.

And there is no way I can renew my ID or get a stamp on my passport because it's already expired and the government of Korea wouldn't issue me a passport at all because I didn't service the military in Korea..

Also with the authorized user on the credit card, you can call your credit card company and they can send you a letter that confirms your spouse is an authorized user on the account. That is what we did and we used such letters all updated for each application --  i-130, 485, and 751. Good luck.

I called a tier 2 officer yesterday because I have an Infopass appointment and I wanted to find out if there has been an approval so that I won't have to go to the appointment. She told me my case was last touched on April 5th and said to expect a response within the next 60 says. Since I plan on traveling in July and my 1-year extension letter expires May 8th, she advised that I should still go to the appointment and get the i-551 stamp in my passport.

That's good, I just photocopied our credit cards with my spouse as an authorized user and submitted them, in the checklist I attached I wrote down "credit card with spouse as authorized user"  didn't print out anything and funny enough I took off my spouse name afterwards from being authorized user so more crazy debt isn't accumulated and because of the domestic violence issues against me, my spouse was charged to court for hitting me so much that I was bleeding almost had a miscarriage but I went to court pleading for the case to be dismissed, the very day it was dismissed my spouse abused me again and left the house for weeks with his partner, I moved out with our kids before he returned and my spouse closed down our joint account and swore to make life miserable for me lol, lucky for me I had kept and submitted so much evidence of our marriage and bank statements of our joint account from almost 4yrs lol, my spouse signed but refused to assist financially or in anyway and withdraw all funds from our joint account of so many years haha Knowing who my spouse was and what my spouse was capable of I kept so much evidence of our marriage and had to move it out of our home because any mail that comes my spouse would intercept it and wouldn't tell me about it, and any document that would help me he would shred it oh lord! It was hell, before I moved out I was literally visiting the mailbox morning, afternoon and night, even though we are still married but separated I am not filing N400 because I know he would want to use that to control and manipulate me, I will just wait, I got my permanent green card.

Congrats! I plan to stick around this forum too to follow approvals/RFE and offer support. I was eligible for N-400 application yesterday but I'm waiting on my new GC and receipt for a speed ticket in 2014 (haha....you need all those). You can do your N-400 application 90 days before 3 years anniversary of your GC (provided you've been with your US citizen spouse all through the time and factored your international travels into the calculation).

Don't panic/rush but take your time to get the response to RFE right. Looks like you filed with a waiver right? Depending on how much specifics they put in the RFE, you may need to see an immigration lawyer. I got 2.5 pages of RFE when I did my I-145 application but I took time to sort it out myself. Yes, sending a copy of your joint lease is a good idea but probably not enough. Also send a copy of bills with both your names on it (or some in your name and the other in your ex-spouse's name) showing the same address. The bills should date back from time of separation to at least date of conditional GC approval. In addition, make copies of the addressed envelopes of other mails, post cards, greeting cards, etc sent to both of you at your residence within that time period. I don't know the other things you submitted with your initial application but if you think any evidence was left out, now is the time to update those and send them as well. In short, any evidence (bank statements, bills, church mails, greeting cards, general mails, etc) that can show both your names and common address may be helpful. You may also consider having 2-3 people write affidavits to support your application. Good luck and all will be well.

This is not a good position to be in but don't panic. I'm with @St.James-One - You need to speak to an immigration attorney. I hope the lease isn't the only evidence you have. What kind of evidence did you send with your ROC application? Try to dig up as much as possible. Don't overlook anything.

yes, I'm a waiver. I spoke to my attorney. She asked me to send her the document from the bank which shows that I was authorized user on his account, 2015 taxes (I already sent 2014) and she also told me that written affidavits would help. I just don't know if friends of my ex husband would do that for me. When I moved here I didn't have anybody. His friends were only people who I knew.

Hi All! It's been a while. Just checking in. Glad to see a lot of approvals and movement. To those who have received RFE's, listen to the advice here and don't panic. It's just a bump in the road. Talk to immigration attorneys and get any information you can together. Every little bit helps.

 

It's been a while since I've felt this anxious feeling. Checking the USCIS site everyday for updates. I'm really hoping that we get some sort of approval letter soon. Unlike our first go around with USCIS, I'm not as worried. Since we've been married, we found out we're expecting our first child in June of this year! From our new business to a child, it's been a crazy few years. Will be great once this is over to have one less thing to worry about.

It's nice to know they're still posting dates that are 6 weeks out of date when they post them... join the new millennium, USCIS - they could easily post new, actually current dates every freaking day if they wanted to! (I imagine them still using computers running Windows 2.0... or maybe DOS!)

it's been a LONG time since I posted something, but today I received my approval letter!

As some have mentioned before, no notification through text or email was received, only the approval letter.

My status on the USCIS website has not changed either, but the letter states my green card should be here within 60 days.

 

I updated the spreadsheet and put the old format back for this forum, since it's a little more compact for the overview.

Congratulations! Every time I see one of us being approved, it gives me more hope I open my mailbox every day in excitement but I get let down >.< but this makes me happy. Thank you for updating!

I'm sending my RFE today. Since the address is showing street address in Vermont, I'm going to use Fedex.

Hopefully they will process this as fast as possible.

 

I'm also going to make an infopass in May, hoping to get a stamp other than my passport because I cannot extend my passport.
