Hello, 

 

This is my first post on here. My husband and I filed in May. I am adjusting status from student (although have been out of status for a while). We submitted everything but they requested more info (my husband's taxes)  in July. We finally sent everything by September, in October they requested more paperwork to process EAD. Along with that, there was a separate letter for my husband requesting we sent proof of Bona fide marriage. I never knew they asked for that stuff before the actual interview?

 

We finally sent the first set of paperwork for EAD around mid November  and I got it on December 5th, and on that day I sent in all possible documents to prove that our marriage is real (Pics, joint bank statement, joint cell phone bill, join renters insurance, lease, auto insurance, life insurance listing each other as beneficiaries.. Etc).  They received it a week later (a month ago)  but they still haven't scheduled interview. 

 

Does anyone have similar experience?  Where they ask to see proof before an interview?  Why do they need them?  Should I be worried?  Why do you think it's taking long to schedule interview. 

 

Can someone help if they have insight. By the way, our local office if the Fairfax, VA (Washington DC) office. 

 

 

Any help would be appreciated,
