Hey my oath ceremony was good. we went there joined a long line to get passed security. They took all cell phones away. Joined another line to turn in my green card, then another line to sign my certificate. After all that, we sat down and the judge came in and gave officiated the oath. Finally, they called us by name to pick up the certificate and that was it. When is yours?

Mine is scheduled for April 7th at Federal Plaza (administrative ceremony)

Yes mine was on Feb 21, and my oath has already been scheduled. Is your wife in Manhattan or one of the outer boroughs?

We are in Rocland County..when you going to take your Oath?

My oath is on April 7th, but I am in Manhattan. For Rockland county residents, you get put into a separate oath queue for your county which has very infrequent ceremonies compared with Manhattan which have them nearly every day. The oath queue at Manhattan was only 2 weeks (from interview until I got scheduled). I know a few applicants from the upstate counties waiting for a long time, one of which had his interview in November and is still waiting for the oath to be scheduled.

My suggestion is to have your wife go back to 26 Federal Plaza where she had her interview, walk straight back up to the 7th floor where they conduct interviews, and ask to speak with a supervisor or the section chief Mr Rubin and let them know that your wife would prefer to have her oath ceremony in New York City, and whether they can move her from the Rockland oath queue to the Manhattan oath queue. Should not be a problem as I have seen signs on the wall stating that applicants can request having their oaths take place in Manhattan by informing the officer. Also, your wife can just walk into the building and won't need to show an apt or infopass letter. Hope it helps - good luck.
