Hello all. I am sending my fiancee through JFK solely to receive the Employment Stamp. Can someone who has been, tell me what to expect & what I need to have prepared for him prior to catching the flight? I would like to simplify things for him as much as possible. Thanks in advance.

11-14-06 Touch
11-17-06 Touch
11-18-06 Recd Original Birth Cert in mailed
11-18-06 Touch (On Saturday?)
11-20-06 Recd NOA2 in mailbox No emails notices, or website updates @ USCIS, just a perfect letter in mail!!
12-4-06 NVC has packet issued case #
12-6-06 Recd email confirming NOA2 Approval finally.
12-6-06 File in the mail to Embassy per NVC.
12-8-06 Embassy sign for NVC packet
12-18-06 Embassy emails stating Packet 3 in mail to Fiancee.
12-18-06 Embassy provides appt. date & time for Fiancee to pick up Packet 3. Rules have changed.
1-3-07 Embassy receives DS 230
1-19-07 Embassy confirms interview appt. date & time via phone.
1-26-07 Fiancee receives Interview Letter (Packet #4) in the mail. Still no Packet #3
2-20-07 Medical @ Andrews completed
2-15-07 Received Packet #3 in mail

APPROVED 3/13/07
Had to fly back without Fiancee 3/20

PICKED UP VISA @ EMBASSY DAY 22!!!!

My now husband went through JFK and for some reason they questioned him quite extensively. They asked several questions about my ex which he knows nothing about. I think they did that because of our age difference. He got the stamp. If you made it through the interview in Kingston he should be okay.

WE ARE DONE!!!

11/5/06 - Traveled to Tunisia/Algeria for a 2 week visit (best 2 weeks of my life!!)

12/14/06 - Sent in our I-129F Form

12/16/06 - Notified by post office that our I-129F was delivered

12/19/06 - NOA1

12/21/06 - Check cashed

12/27/06 - Touched!!!!!!!!!

1/3/07 - NOA2 - SWEEEEEEEEEEET!!!!!!! Happy New Year

1/12/07 - Letter recieved from NVC via snail mail (called and they said it was sent to Algiers on 1/10/07)

2/10/07 - Interview!!!

2/19/07 - Visa received

2/27/07 - US Entry thru JFK - work permit issued

3/16/07 - Civil Ceremony

5/5/07 - Filed for AOS/EAD

5/11/07 - NOA1 received for AOS/EAD

5/25/07 - Wedding

5/31/07 - Biometric Appointment

6/3/07 - AOS/EAD Touched

6/28/07 - AOS Transfered to CSC

7/7/07 - AOS Touched

7/20/07 - EAD Approved!

12/5/07 - AOS Touched

12/12/07 - AOS Touched

12/18/07 - AOS Touched

Removal of Conditions (ROC)

Thank you for the response. Do you think he will know where to go? I hate having him travel without a cell phone to contact me.

Haha, that's exactly what happened to my husband; they didn't even take him off into a little room. :thumbs:

It happened also with me, :lol: I called my husband and said "Sorry dear, I forgot to ask about the work stamp!" I even went all the way back to see if someone would give me the stamp after I got to the gate for my flight to Seattle. It was only when I got home and my sweety pie husband looked at my I-94 that we realized I had even gotten the temp EAD. :whistle:

They were very nice to me, and the questions were all the same as at my interview. The documents they asked for were also the same as asked for at interview in the embassy. It was not hard at all. I just went with the flow.

B and J K-1 story

  • April 2004 met online
  • July 16, 2006 Met in person on her birthday in United Arab Emirates
  • August 4, 2006 sent certified mail I-129F packet Neb SC
  • August 9, 2006 NOA1
  • August 21, 2006 received NOA1 in mail
  • October 4, 5, 7, 13 & 17 2006 Touches! 50 day address change... Yes Judith is beautiful, quit staring at her passport photo and approve us!!! Shaming works! LOL
  • October 13, 2006 NOA2! November 2, 2006 NOA2? Huh? NVC already processed and sent us on to Abu Dhabi Consulate!
  • February 12, 2007 Abu Dhabi Interview SUCCESS!!! February 14 Visa in hand!
  • March 6, 2007 she is here!
  • MARCH 14, 2007 WE ARE MARRIED!!!
  • May 5, 2007 Sent AOS/EAD packet
  • May 11, 2007 NOA1 AOS/EAD
  • June 7, 2007 Biometrics appointment
  • June 8, 2007 first post biometrics touch, June 11, next touch...
  • August 1, 2007 AOS Interview! APPROVED!! EAD APPROVED TOO...
  • August 6, 2007 EAD card and Welcome Letter received!
  • August 13, 2007 GREEN CARD received!!! 375 days since mailing the I-129F!

    Remove Conditions:

  • May 1, 2009 first day to file
  • May 9, 2009 mailed I-751 to USCIS CS
