I actually don't like durian anymore. I ate too much of it when I was 9 years old and got very sick for 3 days after that. So I got scared off durian. When I was still in Singapore, I couldn't stand the smell of durian. LOL.

Wah lau, 24 packets of laksa paste?! That's madness! HAHA. I buy my food spices from Asian Home Gourmet's website. They have what I want and are quick with shipping.

Wow, I also miss Bandung. I can't remember the last time I had that, even in Singapore.

Whenever I describe local food to my colleagues here, they don't understand how I can stay so thin even though my favorite food is made with coconut milk or pork lard. So I tell them we don't use drive-thrus, and we walk around a lot.

HI MAUREEN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hope you and the little prince are doing well! :)

Dora, have some bandung for me, please !!!!!!!! /drool

Yes, it's 5am and I am already awake. And I'm actually contemplating going to the office so I can clear the crazy backlog on my desk. Two hours of peaceful and productive work before another mad day begins.

Sometimes I am starting to feel like I'm back in Singapore ... except for the fact when I was working in Singapore, I never worked this much!

And I am craving mee soto. :(

You guys are making me slobber, much.. I miss singapore food, a lot.

curry fish head, hokkien mee, prawn noodles (same same ) , chili crab, roti prata...

but...

seem to find much roti prata stuff at any north indian OR pakistani place - the masalas vary, greatly.

i think i'm gonna hang over in singapore on the way back this time, get some mum mum in newton's circus, a coupla hawker stands, half a day of stock up at the Mustafa for coffee and socks , then a day in JB for more food and lipton black tea. (which is really hard to find even in Houston). So - you guys want anything? I'm thinking mid december..

I got some singaporean recipe website stuffed somewhere around here , so at least i'll have big list of spices to prepare, before i buy.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.
