Ok when you rent from the blockbuster store if you are getting a tv series you usually end up renting numerous dvds because they break up the season into multiple dvds.

Do they do that on Netflix or do you get the entire season at one time no matter how many different dvds are in season?

no, they send you out one disc at a time.... but if for example you have four movies that are returned and that series is at the top of your queue they will send you the 4 discs from that series...

it depends on your plan.... they have one at a time, 2 at a time, 3 at a time, 4 at a time, all the way up to 8 at a time now....

Thanks!

Wow 8 at a time  That is a lot of movies.

Sorry to keep asking all these questions but you guys are a wealth of knowledge...

so you set up your queue, they ship based on that...what if a new movie comes out that you want at the top of your queue? Do you get to pick what order your movies are in - on your queue?

yup, you get to put your movies in what ever order you want and change that order whenever you want...

if the first movie on top of your queue isn't available for whatever reason, they will send you the next movie in your queue...

 I feel like a Netflix pusher :P

Perhaps since we live 4 blocks from a Blockbuster, it would have been a better choice, but as it is we just got Netflix. Hehehe, since I had time and Rey didn't I rated like 300 movies so now the suggested movies are all for me. Mwahahahahhahaa. We just sent back Shaun of the Dead and now we're getting Quinceanera unless Rey changes the cue...

My whole reason for signing up to Netflix was to avoid having to go to Blockbuster, so the Blockbuster online thing doesn't really interest me. Plus with Netflix I can watch old Doctor Who's online. :)

Blockbuster Online works exactly the same way as Netflix -- you don't have to go

to the store to return or exchange the movies. *Plus* they send you free

coupons, so if you do go to the store, you can pick up a couple of extra DVDs.

yeah but I hear a lot of people saying that Blockbuster is the greatest because you are able to return movies at the store and exchange them for new ones which I think is a bit silly because then you have the hassle of remembering to return those movies back to the store... so I don't really see it has a great feature.... IMO

I don't understand your logic here. No-one is forcing you to go to the store to return the

movies -- you can mail them in, just like you would with Netflix. You do have the *option*

of instantly exchanging your movies at the store, which is something Netflix doesn't offer.

 According to Rey, Netflix has the better selection, which is I think why he chose it (??) but not sure. That's the only reason I could think of for picking Netflix over Blockbuster if you live near a store. If I want to watch a movie tonight, I can't, because Shaun of the Dead just went back this morning... You also lose a lot of the spontaneity of choosing a movie you feel like watching that night.

I know no one is forcing me , all I am saying is that is the one reason people give that Blockbuster is better then Netflix and I don't really see it as better....

Netflix also has a Watch Now feature which is pretty cool, they add new movies to the selection of movies you can watch online every week too...

Never used it, it takes me all my time to take my movies back to Blockbuster!!

with Netflix or Blockbuster online you can just drop the movies off in the nearest mail box and once they get it they will send you a new movie... And you can keep the movies for as long as you want too....

And on top of everything else, they send you 2 coupons once a month (= 2 extra free movies.)

P.S. Netflix does have a better selection of mostly ####### (= foreign ) movies. :P

netflix lists more titles on their page, that's why we took netflix over blockbuster. the nearest blockbuster store is a 25 mile round trip, so i'd rather stick with mailing them.

Netflix is great- but I switched to Blockbuster because- If you forget to mail in, especially over a weekend- you have to wait three days. With Blockbusters- you can just walk into the store, and get a video for free!

Well I just signed up for the free trial with Netflix  Figured I would at least give it a try. Trying to find movies to your queue is hard. I don't know what I want to watch

Our nearest blockbuster is about 30 miles round trip...with gas being the price it is...I will get my movies through the mail
