Love it as well. We have the 2 out/4 max in a month plan for $11.99. I had the 4 out at a time unlimited plan before Derek arrived - it was a great way to pass the time - but once he got here we discovered we don't watch that many movies.

I am right near a mailing facility, so usually 2-3 days from mail back to receiving a new movie. Sometimes I return on a Tuesday and get a new one on Wednesday, whoo hoo!

Hey Marilyn, thanks for letting me know about the online viewing! I must have missed that announcement.

they didn't really make a big announcement about it... I just noticed on the site that they were going to put it into effect in a few months then about a month later I noticed that the feature had been added...

I was wondering why people like Blockbuster mailing service... why bother getting the mailing service if you are just going to exchange movies at the store?? :P then you have to remember to return those movies on time etc...

Netflix is great! My Fiance and I have the one DVD at a time plan and it works just fine. When I was there we would usually watch one movie per week, didn't have time for more. Now when I'm in Europe, he can watch all his favorite dramas, thrillers and war movies, but I'm already putting MY favorite movies in the Queue online and we will watch them when I'm back :P

I know that this thread is older but I was wondering...

With netflix do you have to sign up for a certain amt of time (6 months/1 year) or can it be month to month? what about blockbuster? That will have a major effect on who I choose.

Also has anyone had to deal with the customer service? Just curious

you pay month to month so no, you don't have to sign up for 6 months or a year...

I haven't dealt directly with customer service but the few times I have had a movie that doesn't play or a movie that didn't show up I just clicked the appropriate thing on the site (report shipping problems) and they right aways sent me a replacement etc...

with netflix you can cancel at any time. love it! you can even freeze it if you are going out of the country for a while, etc. or you can cancel it and open it up again and still have your old queue back (i did that)

My whole reason for signing up to Netflix was to avoid having to go to Blockbuster, so the Blockbuster online thing doesn't really interest me. Plus with Netflix I can watch old Doctor Who's online. :)

Blockbuster Online works exactly the same way as Netflix -- you don't have to go

to the store to return or exchange the movies. *Plus* they send you free

coupons, so if you do go to the store, you can pick up a couple of extra DVDs.

I haven't had cable forever and would like to catch up on some tv shows I haven't watched for seasons...

Ok so when you rent from the blockbuster store if you are getting a tv series you usually end up renting numerous dvds because they break up the season into multiple dvds.

Do they do that on Netflix or do you get the entire season at one time no matter how many different dvds are in season?

yeah but I hear a lot of people saying that Blockbuster is the greatest because you are able to return movies at the store and exchange them for new ones which I think is a bit silly because then you have the hassle of remembering to return those movies back to the store... so I don't really see it has a great feature.... IMO

no, they send you out one disc at a time.... but if for example you have four movies that are returned and that series is at the top of your queue they will send you the 4 discs from that series...

it depends on your plan.... they have one at a time, 2 at a time, 3 at a time, 4 at a time, all the way up to 8 at a time now....
