Im wondering who here has Netflix subscriptions... Im tired of the selection that the local hollywood video has. We watch alot of movies. The only thing im worried about is time. How long does it normally take from when you send the old ones back till you get the new ones? Thanks guys and gals.... :)

Your pal,

Matt

The closest facility to me is in Phoenix so one day there and one day back, I have the 1 at a time 2 per month ($4.99) plan which is more then I can watch, myself and Olga still only seems to watch her Russian movies...except my Constantine...I do wish she would watch more English movies to help with her English...she does start ESL classes today, Level 2!

Had it for close to 4 years. Definite YAY! from me. Usually takes about 1-2 days from mailing to getting a DVD in the mailbox back. The best thing about it is that I never have to go to Blockbuster again. I hate Blockbuster.

We have had Netflix for just over 2 years now and we love it  .....

It takes about 3 days or so....

Example... If I mail out a movie on time on Monday, Netflix receives it on Tuesday and we get a new movie on Wednesday,,,

but it also depends on how far away you are from the nearest distribution centre and also some less popular movies might not be in stock at the nearest one so they have to ship it from somewhere else so this might add a few days...

We have the 4-at-a time plan... it costs about $24.....

Netflix also now has a "WAtch Now" feature" where you can watch movies online... of course you can't watch all the movies they have online but they do have a pretty big selection of movies that you can watch online.... You get an hour for every dollar of the plan you have.... Like our plan is about $24 dollars a month so ...we get 24 hours of online watching time per billing period

we're on the 4 movies at a time plan, it works pretty good. most of the movies come out of kc, 2 times from somewhere else and that meant double the transit time in the mail. overall i'd give netflix 2 thumbs up on speed and price.

We have had it for a few years now. It takes just two days from when I mail it back to getting another. We have a facility in St. Louis.

I have always loved it.

had it for just about 4 yrs as well.. there is a big dist center here in Oregon...so when i send mine in say on tuesday I get mine normally on Thurs..sometimes even as good as Wed.

I must say .. Hands down for the foreign films.. I can get just about every film Janak has put on my list of must see.. hehe..

My daughter has blockbuster.. for all other than foreign flix they seem to do well.. especially since she can make her list get her video in mail turn it in at the store and check out i think 2-3 more at the with turn in... when the store enters the mail in video in.. it automatically submits her next in line on the list she has. So they put their other than new releases on the online list.. and get the new releases when she turns them in at the store..

for me.. doing the mail works just fine.. I just have to remember to turn them in hehehehe

We had Netflix and it was great, super fast, but we just don't watch movies enough to make it worthwhile. Blockbuster now has the same option as well, BUT ibelive if you want, you can return the movie to the store AND pick out a new one!! So that may be a better option. Plus the ygive u a coupon for free videos from the store

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

I had, and loved, Netflix when I had it with roommates a couple years ago. Movies would just sit because we were too busy being single.

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."
