The Waiting Game

Just wondering how long after you receive the packet that has the check list and biographical documents and you send them back to the counsulate do you have to wait for the interview?

Our Timeline:

December 28, 2006 NSC received our application

February 14, 2006 The Application was approved

February 21, 6006 Application sent to the NVC

March 17, 2006 Received the packet with the checklist of things

Not sure if I have done our timeline correctly.

This is a great site and has given me lots of hope that the process will go smoothly.

Hi....I think that depends per consulate/ country, I can only say I`m at the same timeperiod as you are on now, I sended my checklist in to the consulate last tuesday, yesterday (friday) I already received my package 4 which also includes your interviewdate.....so I`d say it`ll come soon!!!......Good luck!

A week after we mailed packet 3 to the Consulate, I sent them an e-mail to check if they received them. They responded not only that they received them but also with when the interview was and that packet 4 will be mailed within the week.

I will say, so far, the Consulate in Rio was been very helpful and quick to respond. They even moved the interview by a week so I would be able to attend (just want to be there for moral support).

That depends if you're going thru Montreal or Vancouver, they're a little different.
