My guess is they just pull out processing times of their butts like a rabbit out of a magician's hat. wouldn't you still try submitting inquiry at 6 months ?  just to see if it might actually work ?   I doubt it will because I am sure they won't just jump over December January files to process cases for people that did inquiry after 6 months , 

 

but doesn't hurt to try right ?  

maybe normal inquiry at 6 months 

then congress inquiry at 7 or 8 months  ??

Some people have said that it might hurt. But I'm guessing it just applies to complaints not inquiries only. I just don't know what to believe at this point, and I don't think me sending an inquiry at month 6 will do much, except learn that ''my case is within processing times'' like all the rest.

we have talked about the congress inquiry my husband and I, we might attempt it if things don't progress.

I started at six months and got the response I'm still within normal processing time. Now I'm at seven and a half months and still get that same response. Other poster here pd in January submitted one the other day and a service request was generated. Yet, I have December pd and I'm not being allowed to submit one?

that is extremely weird, but I guess we should just assume nothing makes sense about this process!

We were approved at 9 1/2 months and I did do an inquiry and it didn't hurt us in fact I received a text after our approval about our inquiry saying that it was still being processed lol then I received the approval letter in the mail a few days later....the process is brutal and really unfair to families. I received the approval letter 4 days after an today I got email from uscis that my case was sent to nvc . Then another that my status has changed. Gonna give them till next week to find out if they received my case. They stated that a call mustn't be made until 6 weeks time to see if they received it smh.

They received my case theee weeks later and I received an email sent to me and our attorney. We are waiting for the I-212 still and sent the fees in and going to continue the process as we filed both at the same time and should hear anyday now... praying for another approval and things keep moving!!! It's so difficult! Hang in there applerose!!! Hope all is well!

I didn't, told myself to forget about it and was busy with end of the school year stuff with the kids and then i received the text June 29th. In July 7th another text saying it was sent to the NVC then last Saturday another text saying they received it and to follow he instructions in the packet!

I think I'll go crazy. But if there's nothing we can do but keep waiting that long, then that's what we will do. But I'll pout the whole time 

Outdated is a nice euphemism. I still can't believe it's 2017 and they haven't been able to figure out electronic processing. 1 billion dollars to digitalize... one form. Crazy

I've been out looking at Nebraska processing times, and some of the names there are grey in color. It isn't possible to click on those. Why is it so ? And why isn't my name on that list?

I've always wondered that sane thing. My name was never on the list.

So maybe... even though the VJ timeline says cases with NOA1 dates of Dec 5 are being processed, these cases may have November priority dates? Because before I thought people used the PD as the NOA1 (because this is when the case was officially accepted) but apparently it's the date they received the notice, which is usually a few days after the PD.

 

So my theory is they may not be working on cases with December priority dates yet?
