Lol send them cases of redbull.

I was actually curious a while back and checked on the USA job site for government jobs and guess who was hiring for immigration services personnel???....Nebraska. They need to add some extra eyes and hands to help clear up the backlog

That makes a lot of sense. I'm sure they don't have enough people, hence the backlog.  That and the amount of people that filed in November.  (Thanks, Trump)

I'm totally sending them that. and cookies. and a big letter with my face and case number so they won't forget me *

*just kidding. reminds me of Friends, were Ross sends a basket of muffins to get an apartment, but everyone else already sent a bunch of stuff

Lol...

I wanted to file in November but had just come back from visiting my hubby so funds were low. So I waited and did it in December before the fee change took effect and Mr. President took office. Yes thanks Trump, sigh.

between him and the fee increase, people rushed to file and yes, if you don't take this into account you will have a serious backlog.

why not hire temporary workers to deal with it if you know what's up? oh I forgot, they really don't care. Ha ha silly me.

True, there are plenty of cases that I have seen with status as received during that period.

Only way things can speed up at Nebraska is by transferring 50% of their workload to other centers.

As @tiyyo mentioned, there are 100's of cases received everyday which probably inst the case prior to November.  Hoping they will do some transfers around soon, otherwise we have good amount of waiting ahead.

The app I'm using showed that case # LIN1790190064 was received on 23-NOV-2017 and case # LIN1790190065 was received on 24-Nov-2017, two consecutive cases received 23-Nov and 24-Nov, which then pushed me to conclude that no cases were recieved in between, but I guess I was wrong
