Direct Consular Filing (DCF) cases are generally very quick.

It would be better for those using DCF to go to the DCF General Discussion thread, regardless of the service center assigned to.

Nebraska was bad enough, now i feel at a standstill at NVC, May 24 NOA2, sent to NVC June 6, but each time i call for the case number i am given different dates they received our file. On friday, i was told June 5, also June 6 and June 9. Make up your mind people! The lady i spoke to on friday told me we are past the 2 weeks, so she is passing our case to her supervisor to see why the case hasn't been entered yet. Hopefully i will get good news monday or tuesday. I know i sound like a whiny child, but i want to move forward with NVC already!!

October 31, 2016 I-130 sent to Chicago Lockbox

November 4, 2016 Received text case sent to Nebraska

November 10, 2016 Received Hard copy of NOA1

Fingers crossed you will have good news this week! At least you are past the nightmare Nebraska situation. However, I know waiting is the pits and hard at any stage. I have finally decided to just relax and let things take course as there is nothing else I can do.

Yes hopefully I get a case number this week! None of this immigration has rhyme or reason. Seems like Nebraska is all over with the approvals.

The past few weeks I've had unexpected expenses, ie the AC going out, my roof has a leak and needs repair. Ugh. So I'm feeling a bit stressed.

Ugh, I know what you mean. In a way, that's why I am kind of ok with the fact we have a ways to go because this process is not cheap, and there seems to always be an unexpected expense or another. I recently had to get a new car as the transmission went out on my old one. I was hoping the car would hold out until after the process was over. Wishful thinking...now I have a car note

Hello June Scan dates.

If you're not already on our NVC Case Status Spread Sheet -  2017 (save this link in your browser)

Please visit the following, this will update the spreadsheet with your info.

NVC Case Status Questionnaire -  2017

VERY IMPORTANT: please keep your confirmation email to edit your status as your case moves along.. Yes, You CAN bookmark the questionnaire link but only after opening it up via email. I have no access to resend your original questionnaire to you. Here are instructions on how to edit/save the questionnaire

ATTENTION!! PLEASE review column Y, "checklist requested" to make sure you didn't make the same mistake(s).. If you notice that you may have sent in the incorrect document, would advise you to send your correction ASAP!!! This happened with @ynes, the NVC got the new police report before reviewing her documents, ynes didn't have to wait another 11 weeks from their second scan date which was 5/15/2017.

Thank you, JBMG

ps.. really would like someone from June scan dates to encourage/remind your community to add themselves and review the spreadsheet. 1/3 of our sheet has received a checklist.. the risk is high.. hopefully their misfortune will help you all out.. if you noticed you may have sent in the wrong document, def send in the replacement ASAP with your cover sheet received from the NVC, a letter explaining why you're sending in the document, and your case number written on each document in the upper right-hand corner..

If you haven't done so yet, please add yourself to the above NVC Case Status Spreadsheet. This has been a very helpful tool in this part of the process......
